Well today (03/05/18), I met up with my parents and sister at
GLOUCESTER HOUSE to present them with the
£1,100 cheque raised from the
TLB2018 CHARITY HEADS UP competition and the associated sponsorship.
Many thanks to all who supported it and to my wonderful, kind son Gary,
LIMP2LOSE who upped his donation to £140 so we would get to £1,100. (He may be a ruthless poker player, but he has a heart of gold that boy!)
It was an emotional time.
For those that don't know, my brother Tim died almost 5 years ago, following a battle with addiction to drugs and alcohol.
GLOUCESTER HOUSE helped him so much while he was alive and still are providing "lifelines" for others like Tim, who may otherwise slip through the net.
http://www.gloucesterhouse.org.uk/Here are some photos from our day. People in the photos are myself, my Mum and Dad, my sister, Maria, and Ros, the lady that runs GLOUCESTER HOUSE and took care of Tim when he was staying there.
There is also a picture of Tim's bench which was donated by my parents a few years ago and is in the garden of GLOUCESTER HOUSE.
I really do appreciate everyone that supported this, it gave me and my family much satisfaction to be able to remember Tim in this way today.
THANK YOU ALL!
Graham

Only a small house and not much room, but always a caring environment and a loving family more than made up for any lack of space. I was/am very lucky on the parent/family front.
RIP BRO!
As dog bloke has said, it is always a pleasure to take part and you can certainly count me in again for next year.
