Tagging Tikay/Admins in stuff

Is there any chance we can get an " @Administrators " tag for all of the forum admins please?

Obvs Tikay does a great job on here but I'd like the ability to be able to tag the whole admin group where applicable (e.g. post earlier where I tagged Tikay to move a thread to a more suitable section) so that everyone's not just asking Tikay to do everything 100% of the time, but rather whoever sees it first out of the forum admins can deal with it.

Seen the feature on other forums and probs would make everyone's life easier all round if possible on here.

    Can @Tikay10 move this to Community Suggestions.

    I think @Tikay10 does actually do everything forum related! And a fine job he does too.

    There's an issue which stops non Sky employees from helping out.

    But yeah, Pings makes a valid point if there's more than just Tikay doing it.

    @EvilPingu

    Morning Evil one.

    Due to problems around DPA, & subsequently, GDPR, we don't have "Admins" as such. I had hoped & wished a couple of player/Moderators could be appointed, as with the previous Forum, but regulatory issues made that impossible, I'm sad to say.

    I'm not sure that anyone from the Sky Poker office actively monitors the Forum full time either.

    If need be, & in the right circumstances, you may feel free to tag the following;

    @Sky_SamT

    @Sky__James

    @Sky_Mark

    They represent the Poker Team full time. Generally, they leave me to look after the Forum.

    Two others have certain Forum responsibilities, though again, they don't monitor the Forum full time;

    @Sky_Matt

    @Sky_ChrisB

    I report to all of these chaps, but they pretty much leave me alone to look after the Forum, & report up on anything I feel warrants their attention. I generally monitor the Forum from around 6am to Midnight 7 days per week, hardly an onerous responsibility, but it seems to work, & I certainly don't mind when folks tag me when they want something attending to.

    Hope that answers your question.

    Now, a far more important question for you, which I was reminded of yesterday when I drove across the A43 in Northampton. Who is going to win Sunday's F1 GP @ Silverstone? Lewis Hamilton seems to attract very mixed views on here, & must be in with a great chance come Sunday, but he's 10/11 best, far worse in several spots, whereas Bottas is a seriously tempting 6/1 (one third, 1, 2). At that price, I don't think I can resist a few bob on Bottas spoiling the party, and at 2/1 the place, EW attracts. What do you think? There's certainly an argument to suggest Bottas has been the better of the two this year.

    Yikes, that's the first time I've ever used that "Flag" thing, & now his post has disappeared.

    Just tested that on a really old (banned member) post. Didn't make the post vanish. Possibly because I'm just a normal forum pleb?

    It took me an hour & about 9 attempts before I could restore his post.

    That's a shame with GDPR etc, a couple of player/moderators were always handy to have around.

    Seems fair enough if you're the only guy looking after the forum though to not need anything like in the original post.

    Hamilton always does really well at Silverstone, and they've got the same thinner Pirellis that they had for Barcelona & Paul Ricard which seemed to suit the Mercedes more than other teams. Lewis has won both of those races pretty comfortably (although France may have been less comfortable had Vettel and Bottas not hit each other in the first corner).

    As long as happy Lewis turns up rather than sulk about everything when something goes wrong Lewis, it's hard to bet against him.

    I agree that Bottas has been the better of the two, and IMO he deserves to be leading the championship at the moment. 6/1 seems an okay price to me provided he doesn't pick up any grid penalties.

    However, Hamilton got a grid penalty in Bahrain after a similar (but non race-ending) issue in Australia for changing his gearbox out of sequence. I would be tempted to wait until Friday practice for any news (as they'll change the gearbox before first practice if it can't be used for this weekend), but the price might be gone if he doesn't get a grid penalty.

    Fwiw, I think EW is generally value on most F1 bets (with exception of backing the favourites for any given race, usually Hamilton/Vettel atm). So if backing Bottas, I'd definitely take the EW.

    You get the same spot with any perceived #2 driver where they're a longer price for the win because they have to beat their teammate, but they're still pretty likely to make the podium because they still have a better car than everyone else - If the win price is anywhere near where it's supposed to be (and I think 6/1 is if no penalty) then the place bet will be value.

    There's a few books that go 3pl 1/5 instead of 2pl 1/3, although whether you can get any money on with them is another matter. If he follows F1 at all then it's probs a question for Channing as to which is better - My gut feel is 3 places is the better option atm for any drivers that are worth backing EW.

    I imagine you could've made tons backing Barrichello EW every race back in the Schumacher/Ferrari era, especially if you could get 3 places, because of how absurdly long his price would've been to win any given race and he'd only have to nick maybe two wins a year to get your win money back.

    I think all of your "reactions" to posts count as 5x everyone else's, and the forum has a default setting somewhere to 'bury' posts after a certain amount of negative feedback - You gave Hhy an abuse flag a while back and it 'buried' his post for having too much negative feedback, so people had to click to view the buried post instead of it showing normally.

    Just clicking the same option again will undo any feedback you give to a post.

    I've never actually seen that effect, but thanks. I think @Tikay10 needs to use his special overlord power on some other threads :D

    Not me, at least, not knowingly. I've never used the "Reaction" things - any of them - for Hhy or anyone else, ever. Except this morning, obv.
