Should they now be advising kids to become burglars.
Seems like a good job, and quite well rewarded if you select the correct houses.
Good hours, you could play golf during the day every day.
Its mainly a night shift sort of job.
As we on average only catch around 3% of them, you would have to extremely unlucky to be caught.

Alternatively, if you were a real grafter, and preferred to also work during the day, you could become a part time shoplifter.
As long as you keep the value of your shoplifting to under £200, the police will refuse to turn up, and you cant get prosecuted.
So shoplifting by day, and burgling at night could be the way forward for many of our youngsters.

Because old people cant run fast, they will make up the majority of the 3% that get caught.
Old people should stick to shoplifting.

Police don’t refuse to turn up. First offences the shop can deal with them. Same again if the amount of items comes to a little amount and it’s first time, a ban from shop will do. After that police will turn up and arrest the offender. I do know that police would rather be tackling more serious crime that small shop lifters. If they are caught stealing it’s theft, if they have been banned and caught stealing from that shop, it’s burglary which is trespassing.

    I didn't make it up.

The latest Government stats show that police forces throughout the country on average clear up less than 3% of burglaries.

Is it any wonder why, they can't catch robbers.
