Why does always the worse hand win

I built up my fortune of £170 not a lot I know. I did it playing well not relying on the RIVER.

I am now down to £50 by playing the same way but I keep being hit by others bad play

Must have happened 12 times but a classic the other day was KQ pockets King on flop raising and being called twice by 87off

Flop K 2 10

TURN 9 river JACK COME ON SKY

Goes on and on

    If you can post some hands, the ones you are talking about, you should get good feedback on situations that you might off been able to play it in a slightly difrent way which could have saved you some money. You may have played them correctly, but never a bad thing to go over some.

    May as well get some education out of this. Why do some threads (this one included) have an 'answered' icon when looking at the thread list? Most don't so wondering what the difference is.

    In answer to ^
    Purchase a pack of cards
    Place a KQ on one side of a table
    Place a 78 on the other
    Now Deal as the game of Hold em deals.

    Do that a thousand times
    If KQ wins every time I will personally buy you a banana.

    I don’t understand the hand the op had
    Was it KQ or KK?
    KQ obv wins per description of hand

    Yes, it's quite hard to work out what the OP had. He wrote;


    "KQ pockets King on flop"

    And if he had K-Q, then yes, he rivered a higher straight & would have won.

    Just happened again on last hand on the bubble - I had AK opponent had A4 guess what came down on the river 4 4 4 4 4 4

    Just happened again on last hand on the bubble - I had AK opponent had A4 guess what came down on the river 4 4 4 4 4 4 - never seen Seven of a kind before.

    it is just the way poker goes. i am sure at some point you have gone in behind and come out ahead.

    i had aa the other day all in to kk and the k came on the river. i also had ak in agaist aa and hit kk so it works both ways.

    just suck it up and move on to the next one. it is the only thing you can do otherwise you will start making poor plays if you let it get to you.

    my 23offsuit shove is always getting run down by complete luckboxes calling with any 2. Sites rigged etc.
