sky poker software problem

I have just downloaded and installed the sky poker software but every time i try and launch it it gives me an error saying there is a network problem and to quit the software or try again, even after trying again and leaving it nothing happens.

any way to solve this? Everything on my pc is up to date, no firewall blocking anything etc.

its not a network problem because i have just been playing on the site via browser, but i much prefer playing via the software
