They say you should stop playing if you are frustrated or angry while playing poker.
And I did.
6 months ago I gave up poker.
I was cheesed off with going nicely along in tourneys say, and suddenly hitting a brick wall and gone.
It always seemed, although I had played properly (mostly) I would be hit by consecutive unlikely bad beats

My account went down to zero (again) and so I quit.
I have never played poker to get rich, I am the very model of a rec player.
I enjoy it - and going deep in a tourney is a lot of enjoyment for not a lot of money.

6 months passed and although I was tempted I didn't play for money.
Then I saw (or got an email) that SKY were running these regular big prize freerolls.
What harm can that do? no deposit and play for free with a chance of winning some cash.

Cor! I won a quid in the first I entered.
Bank-roll now in the positive. (£1.00 hehe)

I played in a £2500 (I think) freeroll. I noticed it was a max of 2500 players and it was full.
Never seen a tourney player limit reached before. Sky marketing ploy is obviously working.
I came about 70th in that and picked up another wedge.

I have picked up a few quid in others too and now have a balance I like (not much to some and way less than £100)
But it has rekindled my love of the game

And all from **** all
