The traffic on Sky in MTTs early in the day (08:00-15:30) seems to have dropped off quite a bit, both in terms of guarantees and numbers of Tournaments. This is not meant in any way as a "dig" at Sky-guarantees are determined by traffic, not the other way round.
Possible reasons for this are:-
1. The poker market is shrinking generally
2. A lot of other countries can no longer play on worldwide sites. So (for example) I used to love playing on 888/Party in our morning/Australian drunk time, and would fire up some Sky MTTs at the same time. Other sites have been decimated in the mornings as a result
3. The morning players on Sky used to be a more friendly bunch. Don't get me wrong, most still are friendly, but there are 1 or 2 people (no names, please) who feel the need to commentate on everyone else's play. Doesn't worry me-I need all the coaching I can get!-but it is driving people away
I certainly don't have the answer. However, as I suggested before, might be worth trialling one week of a future "podium series" to try and rekindle interest.
