And you'd go a long way to find a Hotel (or an Hotel as we were taught as kids) with a more grand staircase leading up from the Ground Floor.

And if you have ever used the lifts/elevators in that Hotel, you'd be familiar with the staircase. You only use the Britannia Hotel lifts once, trust me.

It also offers one of the most decadent experiences we might ever experience in life - a cooked breakfast buffet which includes fried bread and plum tomatoes. There is no greater way to start the day.

Britannia Hotel is cheap, too, very cheap.

And that's as far as I am prepared to venture.

    But those bedrooms.......

Stayed there for the first of the revamped SPTs.
    The breakfast was superb.
The hotel was the nastiest place I have ever stayed in my life-i would rather doss in the street than stay there ever again.

The only other place I have stayed in Manchester was Jury's-well-placed, decent hotel, but overpriced for what it was....

If you're looking for super cheap then Hatters is a good option. Good value and a good vibe. There's a sort of games room and people are in there literally all night. It is a hostel tho and you may end up sharing a bunk with someone like I did. The guy was spraying liquid **** everywhere.

Stopping in the centre can be really expensive.

The last few times i've been i've stopped in Salford which is very close and a lot cheaper.

Genuine question - do the trams run 24/7? Just asking as the SPT's tend to finish quite late, as in well past midnight.

@Tikay10 , could Sky possibly tie up a deal with a decent local hotel given a promo code out for a discount ? Or if someone from the forum contacted the hotel
would sky be ok for the Sky Poker to be mentioned ?
I know this happens with most poker festival , esp those that run packages.
    Cheers.

    Hi George,

Sky Poker would not be able to facilitate any special Hotel deals, no, but if a player wants to mention Sky Poker, that's fine.
