A very good morning to you all.
A quick reminder first - if you just want to see the results, without any of the piffle or photos, you can see them on the thread being run by
@MAXALLY here;
https://www.skypoker.com/secure/poker/sky_lobby/community/forums#/discussion/174298/mini-ukops-results-thread-11th-to-18th-november-2018So now that I've warned you, that gives me licence to meander all over the place & maybe cause some thought, comment or debate. You have been warned.
I'll update this thread over the next few hours at roughly half-hour intervals.

Pretty bad night, to be honest, the Main Event cruised home hard-held, but the other three all missed, & missed by some margin, too.
Hit - 1
Miss - 3
And if you don't know what "Hit" or "Miss" refers to, it was a TV programme back in the day named Juke Box Jury, which attracted audiences of up to 23 million per episode. It was on BBC on a Saturday evening, & we would almost wet ourselves with excitement.
Looking back on it, might just have been the worst TV show ever, think Strictly Come Dancing or Graham Norton Show but 10 times worse. Yup, that bad.
@Blackpuma just about snuck - snuck, is that a word? - into the money, as did @mumsie who is off to a decent start in this series, with the quietly spoken SPT celebrity @fredsgirl also collecting a few bob.Mini UKOPS 05, £2.20 entry, £500 Turbo BH
Slightly deeper runs came from @BlairReid, Bus-Bloke @RLT16, @MSDOS, @The_eggs and good old @j3ono.
Exactly 2 weeks ago, @Duesenberg won the UKOPS High Roller for around £5,000, in the process achieving his £10,000 challenge with 2 months to spare. Last night he was chasing smaller fry, but 6th place & £25 is not to be sneezed at. And, as a bonus, it gives me the opportunity to show you another photo of a Duesenberg motor car. If I could own any car in the world, I'm pretty sure it'd be this, did you ever see a prettier & more elegant motor? Trouble is, they don't come cheap - this one sold for $9,000,000 recently.
A very fine result too for @SidV79 in 5th, with a truly a miraculous score for @Essexphil in 4th.
In 3rd was my old PLO8 sparring partner @trevil25, who is a roofer by trade, and a very difficult guy to play against as he has some really eclectic hand ranges.
Heads-up it was @Fom & @kezcmo, with the latter prevailing. Quite a result for @Fom, who, if Sharky is to be believed, was playing only his or her 2nd ever MTT on Sky Poker, the first being Mini UKOPS 01 the previous evening.
By contrast, the winner, @kezcmo, has been a consistent winner on Sky Poker for over 5 years.
Good start to the evening I'd say.
How about this for a thought-provoking photo?
Not photoshopped either, it's a common thing in Morocco for goats to graze amongst the branches of the spectacularly weird argan trees.
Whatever floats your goat I suppose.
Some big hitters in the lower reaches of payouts here, including @TommyD, @LittleGJ, @devil_tear, @conga38, @jubb, @heddoh18, @wynne1938, @LnarinOO & @coo1-um. @Essexphil cashed again, too, though he's more heavy hitter than big hitter.Mini UKOPS 06, £5.50 entry, £1,500 Turbo BH
The final 12 included @MikeyW94, @MRBURNS4 and a lovely friend of mine, @kidgirlgy, seen here with husband Dave at SPT Brighton.
As to the last 6, first to leave the scene was @whostheman - surely that needs an apostrophe and a question mark? - and @fredsgirl was having a great night, 5th here & also cashed in the opener.
Another enjoying a decent Mini UKOPS was 4th placed @Enut who got namechecked yesterday too, with @Westy0987 in 3rd.
The final two had a right ding-dong, but @PRhack93 was eventually bested by the impressive @Froozle who, unless my memory has gone completely, has already won several UKOPS events, & is steadily approaching a 6 figure profit on Sky Poker, which is a fairly elite club.
Back to overlay for a moment, which in last night's Mini UKOPs cost Sky Poker around £487.
So spare a thought for Party Poker over at the Caribbean Poker Party Main Event, where the $10 million guaranteed Main Event looks like overlaying by an incredible $4 million or so.
$4 million. OK, there are upsides presumably, but as holes go, that's pretty big by any standards.
Mini UKOPS 07, £11 entry, £3,000 Turbo Megastack BH
And so to the Main Event of the evening, and we saw little cashes for @BrayCorp83, the cleverly-named @RiverNiall, and remarkably, @fredsgirl made it 3 from 3 on the evening, a really splendid performance from the petite and demure young lady.33rd went to @wothef who won Mini UKOPS 01 the previous night.
Hotshots amongst the also-rans were the warm & friendly chatterbox @GSmith13, @lundie, and dipping his toes into Mini UKOPS was big time Charlie - nice Charlie mind - @lolufold.
Here's @lolufold (blue Sky Poker hoodie) trying to get 5-4 though in a Sky Poker TV cash game, good luck with that against those two. Dodgy Scarf bloke is of course Julian Thew trying the 7-2 trick, whilst Paul Jackson looks to have this one in the bag.
Back in the day when Ladbrokes was the largest European facing poker site - yes, hard to believe, isn't it? - Paul, who went by the alias of Actionjack, was one of the biggest online MTT winners, & was a standing dish in "The Daddy", which was the weekly biggie on Ladbrokes. "The Daddy" took place every Sunday afternoon, and the winner got his name in the event title the following week, so if Paul won it - & he did, regularly - the next Sunday it was named "ActionJack is the Daddy". I played it every week, and actually managed to win it once. Which just goes to show how soft the game was 15 years ago.
Neat idea though, can you imagine Sky Poker doing that with the Sunday Major? It could be, say, the "@Haysie Sunday Major". Then again, maybe not.
Anyway, back to last night's Mini UKOPS Main, & falling just shy of the final was @OXBOWLER.
In the final, 6th went to @winner5603, with @LiamRynn 5th and @splashies just missing the podium in 4th.
3rd spot went to @KFitzy2 with the ever consistent @wineli the runner-up.
Winner? @Quixla, who, remarkably, returned to Sky Poker MTT's last night after an absence of 3 years. Quite the return, then, & after that score, I fancy we'll not have to wait 3 years to see him in action again.
News just in is that Tinkerman himself - Claudio Ranieri - has been appointed as Fulham FC manager.
A genuinely lovely man, who smiles readily & does not seem to have a bad bone in his body.
Wonderful news, & I really hope he does well.
Day 2 came to a close with this £3 chuck-a-chip affair, with 289 entries.Mini UKOPS 08, £3.30 entry, £1,000 Turbo BH
After winning Mini UKOPS 06, @Froozle just scraped into the money this time down in 31st, with @BlairReid, @jawzindawz and @FLASHJONNY doing a little better.
There was another cash for both @BrayCorp83 and @coo1-um, with the surprise package being @HENDRIK62 in 8th.
In the final, @Chrisss21 was 6th a spot behind @stuarty117 who is a pretty handy PLO8 player.
4th place went to @hhyftrftdr who is much-loved by everyone. (T & C's apply).
In 3rd was @wetcard85, & the runner-up was @mongo229.
Winner was @RiverNiall, who cashed earlier in the evening, & I'm pretty sure he won a biggie this time last year, too, maybe even a UKOPS.
Well done all.
Tonight?
Just by way of a change, it's an all Bounty Hunter evening.
Mini UKOPS 09 | £500 Bounty Hunter 6:30pm £2.20 £500 10 3,000
Mini UKOPS 10 | £1,500 Bounty Hunter 7:30pm £5.50 £1,500 10 3,000
Mini UKOPS 11 | £3,000 Bounty Hunter* 8:30pm £11 £3,000 12 3,000
Mini UKOPS 12 | £1,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter 9:30pm £3.30 £1,000 7 3,000
Don't be late, these Mini UKOPS kick off early.
I am personally disappointed that all the 8.30pm minis were made 'rebuys', but if they all break the guarantee, fair enough.
@Essexphil mentioned "centre of target", but to be fair, that's an ample target, hard to miss really.
He gets 2 bonus points for inventive use of possessive apostrophe & the space bar in "bulls' hitter" though, very good.
3/10
To all those who made comments, thanks, it's appreciated.
Not surprising to see that the freezeouts were the tournaments that missed their guarantees. Sky players LOVE bounty hunters!
