Would have preferred the river wasn't a diamond, but always nice to get a Royal. :=)

This is one very good thing about the STARS software, being able to do this with one mouse click.

    Possibly, but I think he checks behind on the river tbh, and I also think any medium diamond would sigh call. So felt I should lead the river.

    Yes, it does give a bit of info away, but in the grand scheme of things, it's a Royal, they don't come around very often, so nice to show one imo.

    I don't think I was being vain here, but I may be wrong. It wasn't my intention, certainly there is no skill in winning a hand with a Royal Flush, I just thought it was worth posting as it doesn't happen very often, least of all, two in close succession.

    I am interested as you probably didn't realise but I am a Buddhist too, and I appreciate that there are lots of different flavours/varieties.

    I did notice that you posted a Tibetan Buddhist Mantra a while back.

    "Om Mani Padme Hum" (Starts at about 1m45s in)

    To my flavour of Buddhism the six syllables of this mantra have very specific meanings:

    They stand for Generosity, Ethics, Patience, Diligence, Renunciation and Wisdom and they also purify the counter opposites of Pride/Ego, Jealousy/L-ust, Unhealthy Passion/Desire, Ignorance/Prejudice, Greed/Possessiveness and Aggression/Hatred.

    Most Buddhists (Especially Tibetan Buddhists) believe that reciting this mantra helps with the above as it re-enforces the positive states whilst renouncing the negative ones.

    I wondered if you are aware of these meanings and if you have a similar interpretation of them?

    There was nothing wrong with posting the hand. Our friend @zenbudhist just writes these things to get a reaction, & either does not know - or care - that it comes across as rude as it does.

    It's not easy to keep a poker forum ticking over these days, & that post helps explain why, folks do get put off posting, as most of us just want to get through life peacefully, respectfully & politefully.

    A royal flush isn't that unusual, I've certainly had a few [i was more interested in the money i hauled in than how many people knew about it] along with many other's reading this. We are playing a game governed by probability theory within the parameters of 52 cards sectioned into 4 suits.
