freeroll

Today's Christmas calendar is £1000 freeroll, as long as you have earned 50 points today, so how can small time punters like myself, afford to spend that amount to gain those points. I realise, you give the big spenders better tournaments, but how can we compete with this. As usual, we will get the piddly £20 game for 10 points. Sometimes it's the thousands of small people who keep business's going. Just saying

    Hi @satsuma40

    Sorry you feel that way.

It's amazing how many folks have complained about the Xmas Cracker Promo. It's just a bit of festive-season related fun, with total prizes worth over (at a guess) £25,000. Folks have even been angle-shooting & gaming the system to find ways to improve their chances.

Of the 21 days so far, around half have required 10 points or less to enter, & the prizes - again, a pure guess - have come to around £7,500 over those 10 days.

Alongside these, the Rewards Freeroll - worth around £1,000 per day - has been running every weekday, there's another daily Freeroll most days at 6.30pm, plus the usual daily £20 Freerolls which cost just 10 points to enter.

I've not worked it out, but a small stakes player will have earned the right to play in the best part of £15,000 of Freerolls so far in December. That's not that mean, is it?

It's very hard to please everyone, but Sky Poker do try to look after ALL players, be they big or small. It's fair to suggest that the smaller guys get a fair bite at the cherry, but it's equally fair that the big-spenders get looked after too.

Hope you have a really enjoyable Xmas & get everything you wish for.

    Hi "satsuma40"

I know it's a bit of a grind but the best way to earn 50points in a day for small stakes people like you and me is to play 28p Turbo DYM Sit & Go's, as they give you 1 point per game and are over pretty quickly. Hopefully if you are ok at them you will at least break even on the cash side, and it will have just cost you the rake of 50 x 3p = £1.50 for entry into a £1000 tourney. if you are half decent you could well make a profit and earn entry for nothing.

    GOOD LUCK today :)

Have you considered that maybe not every offer or promo is aimed at people (''small time punters'') like you?

I would be in favour of more of these promos 50 or 100 points in a day to enter. Don’t play much these days so can’t always hit the 50 but would rather have a bit of effort to get in and a much better chance of a cash with say 200 odd runners, than no effort and 1000+ runners, which is pretty much a waste of time

Whilst being a "small time punter" I always make the effort to gain the necessary points to qualify for these Freerolls as there is more chance of getting in the money in them due to there being less runners. As @MISTY4ME stated the Turbo 28p S'n'Gs are the easiest & cheapest way of accumulating points with the added bonus of maybe turning a profit too (I played 2 yesterday, as I was running out of time, to get to 50 points & won both so a small profit as well)

If people are gonna complain about freerolls then they are fair game for criticism.

Even more so when, as Tikay points out, there have been plenty of the days promos that have required a small amount of points to enter.

    OP is acting incredibly entitled.

Have a lovely Christmas Daphne, go easy on the turkey.
