2010 WSOP bracelet winner Gavin Smith died unexpectedly on Monday
The 50-year old Canadian player won a $2500 mixed hold'em tournament in the 2010 WSOP, and had 16 other cashes at the Series, his last coming in the Main Event of 2017. He was a regular on the TV coverage over several years, and gained exposure through several wacky prop bets, often involving fancy dress.
His biggest single cash was for over $1.1m at an event at the Mirage in Las Vegas in 2005.

Very sad, 52 is no age, & he had 2 kids.
Here's a lovely piece about him by Nolan Dalla, a bit gushy, but well worth a read;
