Next 5 CDs include The Clancy Brothers, Heatwave and the Disturbed
From the Clancy brothers ( who I like ) , to the Disturbed , is an eclectic musical leap across the canyon .... having said this ...I do have The killers on my playlist.
I like CDs, particularly for playing poker. Got an old Kenwood 5 CD changer, and find if I vary my music, I automatically vary my playing style.
So at start of a poker marathon plenty of folk, then some reggae or funk, and then some metal or punk-impossible to play tight when Slipknot or the Lurkers are giving it some

Bought another record player for Xmas so currently enjoying Ian Dury and Blockheads' albums I forgot I had!!

That truly is a "Reason to be Cheerful".
Much-missed, particularly in these sanitised days. Brilliant lyricist, for example (from Billericay Dickie)
"Had a love affair with Nina In the back of my Cortina A seasoned-up hyena Could not have been more obscener She took me to the cleaners And other misdemeanours But I got right up between her Rum and her Ribena"

Got some retro Christian Metal on the autochanger at the moment. Bloodgood "Detonation"1987. Vengeance Rising "Sacrifice" 1980s and Neon Cross "Torn" gonna take a shot at 1993.
Really differing styles. Bloodgood are very UFO / SAXON ish. Vengeance Rising are pure speed / thrash ala NAPALM DEATH/ SLAYER whilst Neon Cross show GnR/ MOTLEY CRUE /POISON influences.
You DONT have to be a Christian to enjoy these bands.

Played all of the last 3 yesterday. 999 were criminally underrated. Got the dulcet tones of "The Devil and I" by Slipknot as I type this....
