Was lucky enough to meet the lovely Andrew1947 last week during his Day 1 entry for the London GUKPT. (I wasn't there to play - just to meet a few Sky players for lunch). He's currently on the FT with a pretty stack size.

Whatever happens now, it's been a terrific effort by the old fella. Really pleased for him.
I don't generally like elderly people, they are all so useless & miserable, but Andrew is an exception.
The other thing about Andrew is that he can out-talk Neil Channing. Not many can say that.
He's the OAP GOAT.

"I watched this on stream at the time and wondered about Mr 'ANON'. He didnt join in the group photo for all on the FT, plus didnt give a winners interview after. However, he was clearly seen on screen and given a name at times by both the commentators and some in chat. Seemed all a little strange to me. Do you get the same at SPT's now?"
If a player at an SPT wishes to be Anon, then that has to be respected, but most are fine with their names being revealed.
PS-should ban "anon" players. Easy done-make it a condition of entry in the first place.
