Twitter is a real curate's egg, some stuff, especially from the Team Thin-Skinned Mock Outrage, is dreadful, but if you choose your "Follows" carefully there's some purlers out there.
So, between us, let's see if we can come up with a list of decent Twitter follows.
Most of mine are poker-based, so this thread is in Poker Chat, but they don't have to be poker-based.
I'll get us started, but it'd help if others chipped in.

His Tweets have rather more political stuff than I like, but we don't have to read what does not please us.
He Tweets a fair sprinkling of poker based stuff, but of course more of it when he is playing stuff like WSOP.
Brutally honest, too.
Who can possibly disagree with this one?
A thousand years playing this game, and I still don’t have a clue how to play jacks
Quickly followed by.....
Just to clarify. It’s pre-flop that jacks are tricky. Once there’s a board out there I can mess up with *any* two cards.
More Follows to follow soon, but be great if you can come up with some too.
Poker based Daniel Negreanu usually posts stuff that usually gets lots of debate going (lots of time not poker related tho).
Phil Hellmuth posts lots of hands via share my pair and tells everyone how great he played them.
My favourite is probably 'Natureisamazing'. Always puts a smile on my face.
Twitter is good for keeping up to date with certain things.
I mostly follow snooker players, darts players, footballers and poker players.
You can keep up to date with lots through twitter especially poker because a lot of things happen through the night in the UK a quick scroll through twitter you can keep up to date.
Of course it has a negative side and loads of people are on there just to give out abuse.
@historyinpics Sharing the most powerful and entertaining historical photographs ever taken.
And YES I LOVE old pics!!
@aurorawatchuk Receive alerts when the aurora may be visible from the UK.
@danny_macaskill - extreme cyclist
@queen_uk Be rude not to...
WW2 Tweets from 1941
@RealTimeWWII
livetweets the Second World War as it happened on this date in 1941 & for 5 years to come
I'm not a fan of Facebook, & don't use it, but many enjoy it immensely. Worth mentioning that Sky Poker do various Facebook-based promos. By way of example, this week they are giving away seats to a 6 player SNG in which the winner gets a Road to Manchester seat. The eligibility hurdles to enter it are very low indeed, & completely free some days.
Mark Williams used to play a lot of poker down at Grosvenor Cardiff, Swansea too, we used to go down every Sunday afternoon for a £250 Freezeout. Ken Doherty & Matthew Stevens both used to turn up too.
Here's a so-called "Celeb Poker" event few years back - who can name all the players?
@thechiprace ( great poker chat and podcast )
The two girls at the back are Tilly & Cherry (maybe )
Looks like some table that.
Another is Gary Lineaker.....if you get his humour, that is.
I follow way too many folks on Twitter, & I'm culling my list, but POTUS & Lineker will stay.
My next suggestion is Barry Carter, aka @Barry_Carter.
Good selection of poker news & chit-chat from right across the poker spectrum.
Barry is the co-author of one of the best books ever written about poker, "The Mental Game of Poker".
Right now, his feed is a bit clogged with his latest book, co-authored with Dara O'Kearney, about how to beat poker satellites, with the intriguing title of "FOLD EVERYTHING".
He is the chief writer for Poker Strategy, & Tweets all their stuff.
Good friend of Sky Poker too, having appeared several times on the TV Show, & played SPT Leeds a few years back.
We must include Ambo of course, @senseichanning
Way too much politics for my liking, but when he gets away from politics he can be very funny indeed.
Alun (note - Alun not Alan) Bowden is a great Follow, who goes by the puntastic handle of @gamblinglamb.
Alun is a full time Online Gaming consultant, & nobody understands the industry better, & he Tweets some really interesting Online Gaming stuff.
A proud Welshman, Big Rugby Union fan too. Played a few SPT's down the years & loves poker.
Very bright, but full of hate, & almost certainly racist.
Not sure I've ever "known" anyone so full of hate & bile.
Perhaps I'm being a little unfair, but I have an auto-dislike of anyone with what I consider to be racist views.
That must have been a fun tourney to play in. Mark Williams is more into bingo these days I think judging from his Twitter. I have never met Mark Williams before but hopefully will get to meet a few snooker players when I go to the crucible in April.
My fav snooker player of all time Stephen Hendry is a keen poker player think he is some sort of ambassador for stars
