I can't abide walking, but I'm currently doing 6 miles per day (3 x 2 miles, morning, midday & early evening) but it's mandatory exercise rather than done for pleasure.
Nice walk though, along the Thames Path right opposite Hampton Court. Walking beside the river certainly eases the pain, plenty of wildlife, ducks & the like to see. Always see a few foxes on the evening perambulate too.
Do you see much wildlife up that way? Presumably, a few birds of prey, the occasional owl?

Yea plenty of Red kites on a lot of these North Yorkshire walks I do . Herons . Seen a few barn owls when I've done the Kettlewell to Buckden dalesway stretch , the usual Rabbits and once in a blue moon a Hare . Not seen any foxes as yet , but not normally out at the right time for them . The dalesway route will mean you are often alongside the river Wharfe , so your usual ducks , geese , Dippers ( who I could watch for hours ) ...seen a couple of Kingfishers , obv not quick enough to get a photo of .
Love walking , but it would be my idea of torture to go to a gym and exercise .
Walk cut a little short today ( backs complaining) ..but saw first curlew of the year up on the moors , will be sorting out the nesting arrangements no doubt . For those who don't know anything about this strange bird , with a distinctive call ..check this out , audio clip on there >>>

Last time I was at Ribblehead, I didn't get a chance to explore the surrounding area , as I had walked a section of the Dalesway from Buckden . Torturous journey , constant drizzle and the slug from Oughtershaw up to Cam high road nearly had me on my knees . Left me 30 mins for a quick drink in the station pub , and a train journey back .
Sunday will be a lot more relaxing and a chance to get my newish camera out .

These look lovely, except for being in Yorkshire.

Now you are talking my language.
What a wonderful photo.
It's not my favourite UK Railway Viaduct, but it's certainly in my top three.

You might enjoy BBC2 at 8pm tonight. "River Walks", think this one is from the North East, along the River Lea.
