Having had my sister die from pancreatic i pretty much knew what the percentages of surviving it were. Nevertheless when i got a text this morning telling me Marty had passed away i felt totally gutted. I first met Marty in 2009 and spent many a happy hour at the bar with him , a great story teller and all round entertainer.
My deepest condolences to Katherine and the rest of Marty's family R.I.P mate

very sad i met him only once in a betting shop in the whitechapel rd about 20 yrs ago. id been watching late night poker and recognised him and went over and spoke to him we chatted for about half hr lovely bloke. he said he was playing in a tourn at luton he was saying he had newspaper stands in wolverhampton and he used to make his money taking motorway cones off the motorway late at night in a van lol. He then said he got info for horses at wolv and had a horse in the 4.30 said it would win bkd it and it won at 12s. fond memory rip.

Cracking article mumsie, was in the Tuscany hotel in Vegas in 2010 with Marty and others, Padraig Parkinson came in to see him with Surindar and a guy called Scoffe who i believe was something to do with the WSOP in the early days and was as big a story teller as Marty. It is still to this day one of the most hilarious nights of my life, the jokes and stories flying around all night
