Can anyone name a situation where the poker equity is exactly 50/50 between 2 people on the flop.

The players don't have the same cards i.e. 72v72 on a A59 board etc

Hi Sid, both opponents have a 2 here.

The hands must not contain same cards and no chance of a tied pit.

Ok mumsie but the equity is 50% for those hands even though a tie is the likely outcome. Will have another think...

sorry..just thinking about this again..surely it will be a bigger hand where there are plenty of outs...for both people needs to be the same no of outs , just can't think what hands/flop tho

to get exactly 50/50 must be extremely hard to do without having the same cards and same number of outs.
The best way to do it is to set up the flop trips and use two low card combos because this will create a flop dynamic that is extremely similar to preflop.

The type I of structure I'd see giving this is 2 unders cards against each other of the flop 666.
54 vs 32 on flop 666 the 54 will be slight favourite because hitting turn will cause 32 to draw dead and if 32 hits the turn 54 has 7 outs to go ahead on river.

What we'd need to do now is fiddle about with the two combos to make it harder for the 5x to go ahead.

I've looked at the various combos on poker stove and here is how they are

    54 v 32 53%/47%
    53 v 42 51.3/48.6
give 42 a runner runner flush and you will get almost 50/50
    53o v 42s 49.8%/50.2% without the straight flush blocker
make the 53 have the straight flush blocker and it's now a 49.94%/50.51%

52ov43o is also extremely close at 50.4%/49.5%

    These are on flop 666

You are only ever going to get close with 42 v 53 etc. There is always a chance both cards will hit, so never 50/50 with 2 cards to come..

You have to balance the ahead and the outs, so that the different weights add up to the same.

    Don't know the answer though

Suspect something like AhAc>6h5h on a 10h7h4c flop would be pretty much a 50/50 on the flop.

65 would probably would be a small fave but the Ah would take it down to near 50/50.

100% sure it involves 3 different suits on the flop - you need to scribble better next time ;)

    I'll take a punt with something like AK v QJ - with A 10 9 on flop

top pair v flush draw mite get you close to 50/50?

poker stove is an equity calculator you can put a specific hand or range of hands and it calculated the equity vs your hand
