Last night's Main & Mini Gold Rush, Summit & Quickdraw - who won what?

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,150

I as pleased to see that yesterdays "Who won what last night?" thread got decent views, so I'll persevere with these for a while, & maybe widen their scope a bit.

Gold Rush Main

Quite a busy night on the MTT tables last night, with the big ones all getting across the Guarantee line comfortably.

The win went to @AKAscotty, & this win took him to a 5 figure profit since 2015, no mean achievement.

The rest of the Final Table, in finishing order, were @jedinemo, @poker69, @RedDave65, @El_uigi, & @shirley02.

Just missing the Final were @EBBERDON (9th), and the shock result of the night was 10th placed @MISTY4ME. How do these things happen? We shall see @MISTY4ME on Saturday at Road to Manchester (there will be a Live Update but I promise no photos of him), & another Road to Manchester runner @eaturchips was 25th.

Good old @Direwolf was 11th with @OXBOWLER 12th, @scotty77 21st just ahead of @AB0151.

@jakally, as per, plodded into 24th.

    Gold Rush Mini

472 hopefuls entered this, with the win going to @SQUIRE82.

I know nothing whatsoever about the winner, but as an eccentric aside, I find I always bristle a little when someone addresses me as "Squire", it all seems so cheezy & naff.

On which note, in a forum debate yesterday, I & others were addressed as "you lot". That's the way to win hearts & minds mate.

Deep run, but not deep enough, for @MAXALLY in 10th. you might - or might not - be interested to know that @MAXALLY sits 5th in the 2019 "count" (number of MTT's played) on Sky Poker.

19th was a veteran of over 11,000 Sky Poker MTT's, @zxghostxz with @engy, who is a thoroughly lovely chap & a good friend in 20th.

Plum last was @Really - yes, really - & presumably @Brrrrrrr ran big into big as he was not far ahead in 468th, even beaten by @HAYSIE in 457th.

    Summit

Interestingly (?), this had a bigger 1st prize than the Gold Rush Main, & it was @Super_Oli that took the big lolly, giving him a 53% ROI over a 2,000+ sample size.

Runner-up @ozzieowen does pretty well for himself too, and in 4th place was cash game beast @alancarr12, another who we shall see at Road to Manchester this Saturday.

@BrayCorp83 was 6th, with the FT bubble honours (honours?) going the way of @jordz16.

Just making the top 10 was another cash for @scotty77.

@MattBates was 13th but never won a penny, whereas @cpfc_2010 in 17th did actually get a few bob back, so I have no idea where the bragging rights go there.

Another who ran deep but earned zilch was @IrishRose, but our Rose is doing OK for SPT Glasgow seats - she has 2 in the bag already.

    Quickdraw

The always super-competitive Quickdraw went the way of @Kerrnal last night, with the losing heads-up victim being mean-machine @GSmith13 who is closing in fast on £150,000 of MTT profits on Sky Poker.

@cpfc_2010 managed 6th thanks to taking a single bounty, that boy runs so good.

    Meanwhile, @MattBates was 28th. Of 32.

Determined to WIN IT now TiKay :)

Yes I definitely ran well yesterday......

I finished 6th/LOADS in the Rewards freeby for £30

10th/Quite a lot in the Gold Rush for £90 + a bounty from my only £1.60 micro sat. fee

and managed to bag a seat to Vegas semi on Sunday (hope my flight back from RTM isn't delayed too much ! ) from a £4.50 micro sat using my £2.30 Tourney token. So I was pleased with my night for under a £Fiver.... #doingitonabudget

Great to see these updates, and always nice to see your name up in lights, and how others have done. Keep up the great work. Look forward to seeing you and the Team and all the SKY players, both new and old on Saturday

Pretty effing sick of poker/Sky Poker at present but feel I should recognise that reading this forum - particularly the regular input from @Tikay10 - is a massive help to keeping a level head and realising this is a game after all...

...which is hard when you play two tournaments in one evening and get shafted in both.

Good luck everyone! Main dream for this year is to qualify for Vegas, fingers crossed.

p.s: Keep up the stellar work @Tikay10
