The Road to Manchester climaxes on Saturday, when 40 players assemble at the 235 Casino in Manchester to squabble over who takes home some of the £30,000 in cash on offer, which will be divvied up as follows;

Though I'm guessing it's changed a little internally since the Great Northern Railway ceased using it.

Morning all.
The big day has arrived, and play starts at 2pm.
I hope to be there at around noon, and I expect James will be there not long after.
Just James & I today, so without @Sky_SamT looking over our shoulder, scope exists for a modicum of poor behaviour.
I'll be in charge of the Live Update, and James will be in charge of "hospitality". Read into that what you will.
Hopefully, some of you may have some questions, comments or predictions - without those, interactive live update are not interactive, and don't really work.

Just arrived & got myself all set up.
First player to arrive is @Alvez11.
And the first thing he did when he arrived?
Rushed up to the Lounge & fired up his lappie so he can earn some points towards Vegas Leagues, as he'll be unable to play Online much today, though I suppose he could multi-task & play Live & Online at same time.
We are not in he usual, regular cardroom today, we have a private room upstairs, with its own bar & everything.
Might try & get some photos in a bit.
Pretty ropey photos as the lights are not on yet & I cant find the chuffing switch, but you get the idea.
Hopefully the buffet table will look a little more enticing once it's loaded up. Oh yes, buffet & everything, proper posh do today.
Ahh, it seems the buffet table was loaded up, but @Essexphil arrived early.
Next 2 players to arrive were Team Beast, aka @GSmith13 & @railtard11.
They've headed upstairs to rail/abuse @Alvez11 who, from a quick peruse of Find-A-Player (brag, it works for me) is currently sitting on 8 (EIGHT) spin-up tables.
