Cheltenham Festival 2019: Golfer Lee Westwood wins big for second straight year
Former world No.1 golfer Lee Westwood certainly has plenty of success at Cheltenham.
Just 12 months after landing £20,768 in winning at the event, Westwood netted £48,200.91 from only a £240 stake on Day Two.
Westwood scooped the eye-watering win after placing a Super Heinz bet in which six of his seven selections won.
Last year, he recorded a stunning run with 11 winners from 12.
He enjoyed a similarly impressive day this time around with only one losing horse in the Handicap Hurdle.
Altior, Tiger Roll, Envoi Allen, Band of Outlaws, City Island and Topofthegame all won for the Ryder Cup legend.
Whilst he missed out on the jackpot seven-fold accumulator due to Killultagh Vic losing out in the 2:50 race, he pocketed the massive sum from wins on the 7 six-folds, 21 five-folds, 35 four-folds, 21 doubles and six singles included in the bet format.
