'I carry a saw and wear a stab-proof vest'

A young former drug dealer says he carries a saw and wears a stab-proof vest out of fear of being attacked.
On the day reporter Noel Phillips met "Jordan" (not his real name) in Coventry he was hiding the saw under his coat. Other days he carries a knife or machete.
The number of crimes related to knives and other offensive weapons dealt with by the criminal justice system reached a nine-year high in 2018, figures show.

That's bizarre. Not sure a saw is the most efficient weapon if you got in a spot of bother.

You would think he would have chosen a pointier saw to stab people with?
Is the stab vest surplus to requirements?

If I used one of my saws as a weapon it would take their head off don't underestimate the damage a saw can do

The one he is holding does not look particularly suitable for stabbing people.

Its a mystery why we don't see more stories on the news about people being attacked with saws.

I am sure it would be.
It just seems a really strange choice for a concealed weapon.
There would appear to be many smaller, and more effective options.
