Everyone loses ...surely they split the fee ? £7.5m each? I wonder which club -still had/didn't yet have -the insurance policies in place for his family?

Seems to me there have been a lot of crocodile tears in evidence.

How low can professional football sink? The game is awash with money, but they are haggling over "who pays?".

One of the things I always enjoyed, & sometimes shed a tear over, was seeing the young mascots go on the pitch before a big game.

It's especially moving when the kids are from a deprived background, are suffering from some physical or mental ailment, or are challenged in some way.

And then, whilst researching the Sala story, I discovered things are not quite what they seem. Want your kid to be a pre-match Mascot for Cardiff City? No problem, that'll be £255.
