New HU format - Super spins

MattBatesMattBates Member Posts: 4,118
I don't know about you but I am super excited about sky's new HU format they are introducing. I know there was some complaints about the removal of the biggest HU games but the new super spins where you start with 3bb should be super exciting. I know the rake may may be considered high but I think the skill edge will show long term.

Personally I think 3bb may be a little to deep for this format but you can't fault for Sky trying to accommodate everyone.

    Wow.

    Well done Sky.

Just proves that contrary to recent reports by Team Serious, the Sky Poker Management really do know what they are doing.

Assuming this is aimed at me... don’t think it’s really fair.

Try having 5 figures removed from your salary + watching your employer consistently make bad decisions risking total collapse and see if you’re happy about it.

Why do you keep fading my responses @Tikay10 ?

I'm sure @Tikay10 has better things to do than continue to respond on an Aprils Fool thread.........

Maybe, I just don't see the point for the sarcasm.

Decisions made have obviously affected some people badly and has indirectly affected others by taking money out of the ecosystem.

You would have thought criticisms from knowledgeable people would be welcomed by Sky not sneered at by their representatives.

(Thread was funny, sarcy comments not).

I also thought the thread was funny - but repeated bullyboy tactics of trying to bait Tikay into coming out yet again to verbally spar with you is not. Just because you don't like the answer you were given doesn't mean that by continuing to ask the same question over and over again (albeit it in a different wording) you'll get the answer you'd like to hear.

Tikay has worked from 8am til 2am every night of the SPT - that's 18 hours a day - and I very much doubt (but would love to be wrong) that Tikay earns the 5 figure salary that you apparently earn from Sky. I'm pretty sure he should be tucked up in bed having a well deserved rest rather than being called out by you.

I have it on good authority that Tikay does indeed earn a 5-figure salary-provided you include the pence...

What bullyboy tactics? I was genuinely asking why he kept fading my responses - I've always had a good relationship with Tikay - He has purchased my action a number of times in some of the larger live / online (different sites) tournaments.... I know I was criticizing his employed (and him to some extent) but it was (is) warranted and was nothing but constructive.

Why is it so hard to believe somebody playing the highest stakes nets 5 figures or more each year? Not that this needs discussing.

I'm not denying he works hard... I was just asking what the need for the sarcasm when something has quite obviously bothered a large number of people and potentially (probably) harmed the entire ecosystem.
