Technology in poker?

Good Afternoon all.
A wee bit about me, I am a mid thirty's man (acts and moans like a 90yr old). I have been a member of sky since about 2011 just a casual player, won a decent tourney back near the start when it was on TV . I didn't take poker serious it was a way to play with some mates who played and just waste £30-£40 a month.
I stopped all playing online for a long time only started back properly about a month ago. Took a couple of weeks to get into it but I now feel I am playing ok apart from Monday this week.
My main point and excuse my ignorance, does everyone use sharkscope or programmes that tell you what to bet? Is this a big help? I have always been a fan of playing the player and relying on my own observations and notes? Is this putting me in an extreme disadvantage? I am not a techie which is surprising if you knew what I did for a living. Is anyone else not using these systems. I think I might be in a bit of an advantage as all my results from when I was starting and messing around would be on the sharkwatch so might get called lighter?
Saying that I have been watching videos and making improvements to my play which I have noticed in the last few weeks a lot more to learn though especially cash as I am so poor there.
I don't know what I'm expecting maybe a friend that also hates the techie side so we can bash it together.
I play mostly from half 7 to about 11 bounty hunters, dym's and deepstack.

On sky you have no worries about someone holding an unfair edge due to information.
FWIW I dont us a HUD on any site (even if they allow it) and still get the same or in some cases better results than sky.
