I haven't looked at the odds yet but Spieth Is playing a little better and he loves Augusta Scott also is also a good bet is very good off the tee , just needs his putter to run hot and he will be up there. Personally I would love woods to win it , purely on his golfing achievements ( ignoring personal affairs) and fairy tale comeback story.
There has been torrential rain on Monday & Tuesday, & so the course has come up very soft. This will favour some, & disadvantage others. Scores are likely to be lower if the greens are soft.
More worrying, lightning has forced everyone off the practice course twice already, & further lightning is forecast for the final day, Sunday.
When there is a chance of lightning, the organisers have no choice - they MUST call a halt to play immediately.
So there's a chance that play will not end until Monday.
Feel sorry for Speith, he's a smashing kid but seems to have lost his game completely. Early days, but +3 already, and all over the shop.
Remember the 2017 open at Royal Birkdale ..in particular the 13th hole ?. Was on Kuchar that day and really felt for him ...in fact despite the recent distasteful story about the caddy payment ..here is a really good story about Kuchar on that day >>>>

Quite liked "emotionally incontinent", not an expression I've seen before.
My abiding memory of that afternoon was Spieth out in the car park, and somehow finding a shot.
I've always been a Kuchar fan, he smiles readily, but my man-love faded this year after caddy-gate. I don't like to dislike anyone, it does not come naturally to me, so I'm pleased you posted that.
During practice earlier in the week, the Gallery (or "Patrons" as they are called at Augusta National) were goading the players to try & skip a ball across a pond, & so Olazabel gave it a go, & a super sharp photographer captured this extraordinary image;

In early day one news, Tiger is joint leader on -3, but Paul Casey has a horror start, +5 after just 5 holes.

Play suspended due to threat of lightning.
It's not clear yet if play will resume today, but I believe it might only be a short delay.
If they don't complete the 2nd round today, it will complicate the Forum Comp Day 2 updates tomorrow morning, but I'll see what I can do.
Whatever happens, it will not affect the overall result of the forum comps.
Yay, play has resumed after less than 15 minutes.
Love watching The Masters.
