Who Won What on Wednesday? A Devil double, Rose a runner-up, & a lot of EatMyStuff stuff

Televised Man United v Barcelona, Messi & all, was always going to hit Online Poker numbers, & so it proved last night, with all UK & European-facing sites struggling. Of the 4 Headline MTT's last night here on Sky Poker, 3 missed Guarantee.

The weather is set fair now, too, so whilst I don't want to be a harbinger of doom, Guarantees will likely come under pressure shortly. (Is the word "harbinger" ever used without "of doom" appended? It's a bit like "grassy knoll" & Dallas).

Then again, it might snow for the next month. With UKOPS just days away, we can but hope.

    PREDATOR MAIN

    Really tough final this, with the average Sharky Rating of the Top 5 in the mid-eighties. All 6 have various Sharky Stars, 2 of them Gold, the latter including HAYSIE. HAYSIE is one of those odd people who naturally seems to make enemies in the world of Online, but if you ever met the guy you'd love him to bits. Funny, dry, & a good man. For balance, he's Welsh, & he's old, a very difficult combo to admire. I've yet to meet anyone who truly likes old people. I certainly don't. (Please don't tell me I needed to add a T-I-C smiley there?).

    The bankroll challenge of Ironpump1 must be going along nicely too, & oir old fave BooBooTheB was there too.

    @darsum333 975000 1 £837.94 + £296.31 Head Prizes 7

    @avix 0 2 £502.76 + £226.49 Head Prizes 11

    @Ironpump1 0 3 £307.50 + £70.05 Head Prizes 3

    @HAYSIE 0 4 £241.39 + £14.77 Head Prizes 1

    @BooBooTheB 0 5 £206.03 + £11.25 Head Prizes 1

    @BlairReid 0 6 £173.43 + £138.70 Head Prizes 10

    Finishing in a heap in the mid-teens was this bunch of reprobates;

    @TommyD 0 14 £44.59 + £14.06 Head Prizes 1

    @miniman88 0 15 £43.05 + £100.54 Head Prizes 5

    @EBBERDON 0 16 £43.05 + £61.88 Head Prizes 5

    And spookily, while Messi & co of Team Barcelona were ruining the night of Online Poker Suits across Europe, look who finished 21st.....

    @messiISgod 0 21 £33.75 Head Prizes 3

    Finally, oynutter gets mention for the 3rd time on the bounce, as he was keen - & quite right too - to mention he had a Sharky Star now. And so he does - he's the 27th Most Profitable MTT-er on Sky Poker in 2019, one spot above splashies. You don't have to be a nutter, but it sure helps.

    PREDATOR MINI

    Winner devil_tear took 18 heads, not a record by any means, but still a tidy haul.

    In 3rd was @EatMyMuck2 , not to be confused with the 23 other players on Sky Poker with the "EatMy" prefix to their alias. Quite an eye-opener, some of them, including as they do EatMyCat / Dog / Rat / Muck / Socks / Food / Pie / Puss / Foot / Plums / Sh*t / Face / A*S / Sky / Ace / Grits / D1ck / and Dust. Good Lord. Somewhere along the line the world passed me by. What happened to names like Bert, Fred & George?

    Well done Wacko90, who was 5th, too.

    EatMyStack - usually abbreviated to EMS - was a very busy Poker Collective here in the UK a decade ago - might still be for all I know - who used to do a lot of Staking.

    @ShaunyT 0 4 £79.39 + £21.22 Head Prizes 6

    @Wacko90 0 5 £66.90 + £20.68 Head Prizes 6

    @j3ono 0 6 £54.52 + £26.17 Head Prizes 7

    Back to aliases, I do enjoy a phonetic pun, so how about this one?

    @CenSword 0 7 £42.37 + £7.61 Head Prizes 3

    Finally, every MTT produces a few outliers, & this man is certainly one when it comes to poker. He might just know who is going to win the Masters though.

    @HENDRIK62 0 32 £6.69 + £1.88 Head Prizes 1

    SHERIFF

    The win went to justinas, who has a limited MTT CV here, but look who ran second - Our Rose.

    For Rose, beating rspca into third would have been bittersweet.

    Kudos to Dog Bloke too, as whilst running 3rd in this & God knows how many other MTT's here & elsewhere, he was also playing a best of 9 Heads Up match for Charity organised by @StayorGo. (Dog Bloke won it 5-3).

    After winning the Mini, devil_tear almost did the double, finishing 5th this time.

    @justinas 210000 1 £420 + £289.44 Head Prizes 6

    @IrishRose 0 2 £262.50 + £157.04 Head Prizes 6

    @rspca12 0 3 £157.50 + £37.50 Head Prizes 2

    @heellloooo 0 4 £115.50 + £37.50 Head Prizes 2

    @devil_tear 0 5 £94.50 + £87.89 Head Prizes 3

    @Daddicool 0 6 £42.19 Head Prizes 2

    QUICKDRAW

    Another win for SenorBegs, & if I had a quid for every time I've typed that I'd be a very rich man. StayOrGo who won Sheriff a few nights back was 3rd here.

    Just 25 runners, so cdewey (4th) & IMAHEAD (6th) both got zip, which feels a bit harsh.

    @SenorBegs 125000 1 £437.50 + £266.40 Head Prizes 7

    @Tonyzya 0 2 £262.50 + £23.44 Head Prizes 1

    @StayOrGo 0 3 £175 + £113.67 Head Prizes 5

    @cdewey 0 4 0

    @tug180 0 5 £18.75 Head Prizes 1

    @IMAHEAD1 0 6 0

    Meanwhile, Limp2Lose who won this earlier in the week did not run so well last night.

    When you say 18 heads is not the record "by any means" what is the bounty hunter record? Is there a way to find out?

    Hi @ShaunyT

    I don't know, but I'm sure someone will. Whether they read this is another matter.

    I've certainly seen low to mid twenties on occasion.

    I am absolutely flabbergasted, even incandescent, that you (hardly a spring chicken), could have the audacity to suggest that a lack of entries caused by a silly football match, would the create the circumstances that would allow an oldie to reach the final table of the main event.

    Please expect to hear from my legal representatives forthwith.
