    Question for you.

Be the Anniversary Sunday Million Final Tablist, with roughly average chips and a milly to the winner.

Chop it up, or go for the lot?

    Conjecture.

If villains were fishy or you felt you had a handle on them then no chop.

On the day I panic chop and run.

Half a million for the ones that chopped. I definitely would. It's like winning the normal Sunday millions 3 weeks on the trot.

    @kapowblamz

    There goes an honest man.

You'd need to run fast to catch me, I'd have been first to tick that lovely little box.

I watched it until the uk lad went out at about 12:30 am. Done his sharkscope graph the world of good 😊. He was down about 23k before last night. Bet he's got a smile on his face this morning.

In fact, the fella in 5th got the most. In my eyes, he's the winner, but who cares about the trophy when you've just collected big 6 figures?

Definitely would be chopping, would have to be MEGA rich to not want the chance to lock up half a million!

I'd chop an all in sat if possible, so I think I would be open to some negotiations should I ever be lucky enough to be in that spot.

The average stacks in these tend to be pretty shallow so its unlikely you have much of an edge and given the sums involved you have to chop. Maybe you could try and get a bit extra out of people in the negotiations if you felt you had an edge but that comes with risks.

There was a Sunday Million once where a rec got to HU and had a very healthy chip lead over the pro. The rec then proceeded to hand almost all of his equity to the pro in a chop and took home barely more than 2nd place money...

It might even of been a wcoop. It was a huge tournament either way.

The Poker player in me says if I had an edge I'd keep playing, if not I'd take an ICM chop. In reality, I'm probs just chopping cos the $$$ is too significant to me.

The difference between having ~£450k (after currency conversion) for chopping and £150k for 5th is much greater than the difference between having £450k and £750k, for me. For that reason, I think there's an opportunity cost in punting that any marginal EV gain directly from the tournament itself is unlikely to be able to overcome.

As a millennial stuck in the rent trap for the foreseeable future (Insert Brexit thread segue here...), the guaranteed money to go out and buy a house is too much to turn down.

With £450k I could buy a really good house that's going to continue gaining value, never have to deal with a landlord or letting agency taking several hundred quid a month out of my bank, stick some money aside for life stuff and still have a decent bankroll left at the end. Can I do that with £150-200k if I come 4th/5th? Probably. It's definitely going to limit what I can do in terms of investing that money for sure, especially as I'd want to keep a £15-20k bankroll behind me after, and have some money left over to go punt WSOP, invest in other stuff so that I don't have to work etc.

Chop all day especially if stacks are even and blinds are high
