UKOPS Day 3, who won what. Another good night, & Mikey wins the Main

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,130

Afternoon.

It's Good Friday, therefore views will be hard to get today, so I'll rattle though these & spare you some of the usual waffle.

Let's start with the Overlay Report.

UKOPS 15, G'Tee £3,000, made £3,600

UKOPS 16, G'Tee £1,500, made £2,280

UKOPS 17 G'Tee £15,000, made £14,500

UKOPS 18, G'Tee £3,000, made £3,890

UKOPS 19, G'tee £4,000, made £4,400

UKOPS 20, G'Tee £2,000, made £2,280

UKOPS 21, G'Tee £4,000, made £4,350

So for the 3rd straight day, 6 of the 7 events covered comfortably. The three misses have a combined cost of just £960 (on Guarantees of £105,000) so I think that's satisfactory. Best not speak too soon though, the weather is gorgeous today, there's a £220 High Roller tonight which could cost a good few bob, & of course on Sunday there is a £30,000 Main. That's a big number for Sky Poker these days, so has to be a worry.

    UKOPS 15, £3,000 BH, 7pm

    I'm not familiar with the winner, but he has a shiny star for "Count", & has played top side of 25,000 MTT's here, so presumably knows the time of day.

    Another good result for 4th placed avix.

    Crossing the line locked together in 25th & 26th were loololollo & Lalalola. Just imagine if they were racehorses, & you were the commentator & had to keep repeating those 2 names as they raced along neck & neck.

    And it's loololollo & Lalalola, Laloolollo & loollola.....

    @Lalalola 0 26 £14.18 Head Prizes 1

    Down in 43rd was potential Slimmer of the Year Essexphil. Quite right too, I have to be nice to him later in this report, so I may as well get a dig in whilst I can.

    @Essexphil 0 43 £15 Head Prizes 2

    Spotted the alias of GREGGER01 down the field, he won a Viva Las Vegas package back in 2016 if I'm not mistaken.

    UKOPS 16, £1,500 PLO8, 7.30pm

    Very pleasing to see that both the PLO & PLO8 covered guarantees by a mile in this UKOPS.

    Quite a few namechecks in this one, only because I know most of these guys pretty well having spent many a happy evening battling with them in O8 DYM's.

    The winner was not a player I knew, but this one had his name on it from the very outset. When you get a really good player & he is repeatedly hitting boards hard it's tough to stop them. This chap can play, trust me.

    Scottish Golfer Bloke & all-round luckbox HENDRIK62 ran 2nd, no idea how, with an old friend of mine jakally in 3rd. jakally was another Viva Las Vegas winner a few years back, & what fun we had that year. He then got himself a very nice job over at the DTD Cardroom, but I've no idea if he is still there, we sort of lost touch.

    In 5th DONMANN impressed me with his game, though we never clashed, & it was grand to see dear old Direwolf (another Viva Las Vegas winner) weedle & nurdle his way to the Final Table.

    @minAmin 456000 1 £649.80

    @HENDRIK62 0 2 £376.20

    @Hennners 0 4 £182.40

    @DONMANN 0 5 £157.32

    @Direwolf 0 6 £134.52

    Here's the rest of the cashees, quite a tough field actually. And yes, my name is there, but please don't ask if I made a profit as I spent way too much of the evening mashing the Rebuy button.

    @chicknMelt 0 7 £111.72

    I have to give a namecheck to these guys too, as I've spent countless happy hours at the 08 DYM Tables battling ferociously with every one of them. No quarter was ever asked or given, but it was all in the right spirit, & there was never a drop of bad blood, even with old Eon1961, who has never been known to miss a flop.

    Well-deserved win for MikeyW94, & the £4,000+ score puts his Sky Poker MTT profit to over £43,000 on a 6,300 sample size. Impressive.

    We mentioned 3rd placed GREGGER01 earlier, & GODFATH100 in 4th was batting way above his average.

    Serial cashers MAKAKA & Groggs were 5th & 6th.

    The winner, JMC1975 & 3rd placed Duesenberg both enjoy a Sharky rating of 79, & they sandwiched jojobabes who is rated at 51, so a good effort by him.

    Well who'd have thought? Essexphil took the top spot, well done him.

    Phil is tidy enough (as a player I mean, not a person) both Online & Live, with his best Live cash being in the WSOP Main back in 2011, collecting $35,492 for 347th place.

    Here's the man himself;

    Great updates @Tikay10 , I must say I have you to thank for even entering the PLO8.
    I'd completely forgotten it was on until I spotted your reference to it in your diary.
    Minamin put me in an ICM nightmare and battered me 4 handed, great fun.

    Excellent updates as always Tikay. Nice to see you playing (and cashing) and even better to see Jimi @HENDRIK62 have an excellent run into 2nd. I watched the last couple of tables having decided not to rebuy as I was pretty card dead (well that's not strictly true as I got dealt AA23 once and got a walk in the BB, which sort of summed it up.) Minimin a deserved winner, combining playing well with getting dealt premium hand after premium hand, that's a tough act to beat.

    The PLO8 MTT beat it's guarantee by over 50% and was the biggest percentage excess of the evening, perhaps an argument for more PLO8s?
