Morning all.

Quite a night last night, & some really interesting stuff to look at today, so let's crack on.

    UKOPS 36, £10,000 BH, 7pm

    An unusual start to a UKOPS evening, a £33 entry £10,000 G'tee BH, but it covered with 10% to spare.

    And how about this for moaning it in? On yesterday's write-up, @miniman88 wrote these exact words, no more, no less;

    "I honestly must be on the worst run in the history of profitable sky regs. As sad as it is I had a dream I binked the main last night haha, time to see if life really is a simulation or not".

    Well he never binked the Main, but he did win the opener, collecting £1,900+ in the process. How spooky is that?

    Good 3rd for @Curt360x27 who at last hit a bit of UKOPS form.

    @miniman88 1825000 1 £1428.97 + £457.03 Head Prizes 10

    @luckme002 0 2 £843.15 + £238.24 Head Prizes 5

    @Curt360x27 0 3 £506.44 + £113.55 Head Prizes 8

    @oRoyalivi 0 4 £400.77 + £278.55 Head Prizes 14

    @Sniezn 0 5 £339.45 + £206.59 Head Prizes 10

    @LBenjamin 0 6 £281.96 + £195.64 Head Prizes 12

    Guitar Bloke was the Bubble Boy. That sucks.

    @Duesenberg 0 7 £227.21 + £56.25 Head Prizes 4

    Always a pleasure to see either of these 2 have a good run.

    @MacMonster 0 13 £79.39 + £32.52 Head Prizes 2

    @Itsover4u 0 16 £54.75 + £66.09 Head Prizes 4

    UKOPS 37, £25,000 High Roller, 7.30pm

    Scary times as this one, with a £530 price tag, & so needing 50 entries, kicked off with just 6, eventually getting 39 including rebuys. Not great, but could have been much worse I suppose.

    The winner is a very good friend of mine with whom I generally share a few PLO & PLO8 tables in Vegas, especially in WSOP events. Does not play high volume here, but has a great strike rate when he does. Just 1,100 MTT's on Sky Poker, netting him £22,000 of profit, a 79% ROI & a rating of 94. Pretty good, huh? He's handy Live, too, he chopped the GUKPT London 6 years ago for over £60k, & has had decent results in Vegas the last 2 years including 10th last year in the WSOP Omaha Mix. He's also one of the best sports betting punters I've ever met, deffo in the top 3 I've ever known. Good stuff David, really pleased for you, that's this year's Vegas trip paid for.

    Runner-up @TEDSON is, arguably, even better, with £38,000 of profit from just 600 MTT's, translating to an average profit of £63. These boys can't 'arf play.

    @Doooobs 390000 1 £8750

    @Tedson 0 2 £5500

    @SenorBegs 0 3 £3750

    @braddo11 0 4 £2750

    @Super_Oli 0 5 £2250

    @alancarr12 0 6 £2000

    UKOPS 38, £30,000 Main Event, 8pm

    We don't see the winner here very often, just 5 MTT's on 2019, but when he shows up he generally gets the lot. Of those 5 MTT's, he ran 4th in the Sunday Major in early March, won the Sunday Major 31st March, & then won this one last night. Those 3 scores alone netted him close to £13,000. Very nice too.

    @mcg899 battled into 2nd, & he does OK here too, with @loololollo 3rd & The Begs 4th.

    We don't see @rosiedog00 in too many MTT's here, he's more into Cash I think, but he has great game.

    When we were up at SPT Glasgow, I played the event & Sky Poker donated a £110 UKOPS entry to whoever busted me. Well a chap named @albaking did the honours, got his £110 free entry, & turned it into 6th place & £1,400. £1,400 for busting me? Money for old rope.

    @_SHAAAZAM_ 2950000 1 £7950

    @mcg899 0 2 £4650

    @loololollo 0 3 £2655

    @SenorBegs 0 4 £2040

    @rosiedog00 0 5 £1740

    @albaking 0 6 £1440

    Team Nearly But Not Quite consisted of....

    @railtard11 0 7 £1080

    @wineli 0 9 £510

    @avix 0 10 £390

    As we saw earlier, @miniman88 dreamed of winning the Main, but won the opener instead. Still cashed in the Main though, so not a bad bit of forecasting.

    @miniman88 0 24 £240

    @kapowblamz just about scraped into the money, too.

    @kapowblamz 0 35 £210

    UKOPS 39, £4,000 Mini, 8.30pm

    Interesting alias for the winner, but a quick look at his Sharky suggests he knows the time of day.

    Runner-up @loololollo also ran 3rd in the Main, so collected a very nice £750 Sky Poker Final Table Jackpot, so arguably he was the winner of this as he copped the most overall cash.

    @deathcruis 1311000 1 £1114.35

    @loololollo 0 2 £633.65

    @Dermste 0 3 £375.82

    @Holzmybeer 0 4 £288.42

    @nishg 0 5 £244.72

    @bulls-up 0 6 £201.02

    @HAYSIE was the Bubble Boy, though it's been 80 or more years since he was accurately described as a boy.

    @HAYSIE 0 7 £152.95

    11th went to @Makaka.

    In yesterday's report, @MynaFrett wrote this about Mystery Man Makaka;

    "....As it happens I was actually chatting to @Makaka at the tables yesterday (great player, nice guy) I said something along the lines of aren't you tempted to unlock your Scope to see how pretty your graph is?... don't know if he was just humouring me but he said he would.....

    Seems like he's not just a great player & nice guy, but is a man of his word too, as he duly unlocked his Sharky, so we could have a look-see. No surprise then to learn that;

    He has a nice shiny spinning Gold Star for 3rd most profitable player on Sky Poker in 2019.

    7,700 games yielding a £35,000 profit.

    58.7% ROI.

    Rating of 82.

    Confirmed tidy, then.

    @Makaka 0 11 £52.44

    UKOPS 40, £4,000 BH, 9pm

    Those at SPT Glasgow would have met @MacIsBack1 who won this, he's doing pretty well in Micro Madness too, sitting 2nd lat time I looked.

    Good Final Table this, but you know more than enough about the rest of them. @scotty77 followed up his win yesterday with a fine 6th here.

    @MacIsBack1 636000 1 £572.40 + £168.41 Head Prizes 5

    @waller02 came up a shade shy in 14th....

    @waller02 0 14 £26.50 0

    @Essexphil was hoping for a good night to enhance his Total Player chances, but things did not click.

    @Essexphil 0 17 £26.50 + £29.07 Head Prizes 3

    Odd that I mentioned Tennis Bloke yesterday, & suddenly he popped up in 18th here.

    Great result for @bluebird8 , perhaps his best ever.

    Another one chasing Total Player Vegas dreams is @BooBooTheB who snuck into the Final & collected a few more Total Player Vegas Air Miles.

    @bluebird8 678000 1 £303.52 + £138.02 Head Prizes 12

    UKOPS 42, £4,000 BH, 10pm

    Exactly as week ago @bampfers won Quickdraw, which is really the same as this one, & last night he completed the double. Well done bud.

    Runner-up was @LiamRynn who came up 1 place shy of his 2nd UKOPS win in 48 hours after taking down UKOPS on Friday.

    One eye on Total Player I suppose as @Essexphil made the final, & that might just be very important.

    @bampfers 405000 1 £587.25 + £501.17 Head Prizes 11

    @LiamRynn 0 2 £384.75 + £85.55 Head Prizes 4

    @SoLack 0 3 £237.94 + £213.35 Head Prizes 8

    @GSmith13 0 4 £192.38 + £99.61 Head Prizes 4

    @Mather14 0 5 £156.94 + £84.38 Head Prizes 4

    @Essexphil 0 6 £131.62 + £60.05 Head Prizes 2

    Another player looking for a double was @cpfc_2010, but the best he could manage here was FT Bubble.

    @cpfc_2010 0 7 £111.38 + £90.24 Head Prizes 4

    8th place capped a wonderful night for @loololollo

    @loololollo 0 8 £91.12 + £46.88 Head Prizes 2

    Luckily, I'm in good shape, full of vigour & bursting with energy.

    Great photo. That is Jim Peters, the man who inadvertently caused the Marathon to be run over 26 miles, 385 yards, rather than just 26 miles.

    I knew Jim quite well-a fascinating man.

    vwp @loololollo yesterday. Please feel free to go back on your travels :)

    Great write-up again Tikay. Last day-plenty of insults, please....

    Yup, the great Jim Peters. How did you get to know him? Did you used to be an athlete? (There you go, first insult already).

    PS - VBOL tonight mate.

    I'd love to tell you, but I was taught to be cautious...:)
    Not an easy job following him as Charity Steward, I can tell you.

    He never ran again after that race. He was 17 minutes clear of the field, and 10 minutes inside the World Record. All lost to give the Queen a good view (which is why the distance was wrong). But he never complained.

    Haha cheers for the shoutout @Tikay10. I only played 3 UKOPS I think as I am scrapping my Dissertation together and I am still on my BR challenge.

    UKOPS is a great series though will play a full grind at some point. And also thanks for all the updates you do.

    Thanks @Tikay10. I had no intention of originally playing it. I got in late as I had been to the Fed Cup (less than £40 for the whole family; which was an absolute bargain) and it was a great sporting occasion. I just popped in to see if the Sunday Major was still open for late reg, and noticed the £500 was short of runners. As I had just short of £500 in my accouunt, the inner gambler said to give it a go. I dare say I'd have had too many tables and would never have played it if I started my normal O8 schedule.

    I think I spewed half my chips in pretty short order with large blinds and bad hands. I was getting smashed about by most of the players on my table, and was thinking that playing a £500 hold em tournament when I mainly play both smaller, and mostly a different game, these days probably wasn't the best spur of the moment decision I had made recently. I got two or three shoves through with marginals soon after ("don't call, don't call") and I realised there weren't many runners left, and thought I may be able to limp into 6th with a fair wind. With about 9 left and me resolutely 9th of 9, I shoved A9 from the small blind with about 8 bigs and got a slow call from AT (sure I was ahead on the time it had taken for the call), but binked a 9 on the flop. I then got lucky with jacks in the big blind when somebody got dealt Ax on the button and shoved on me on the button (or maybe one off?).

    From there I ran a lot better with hands, including an AK suited vs AK suited flush when 4 handed. 3 handed I had over half the chips and KT shoved on me fron the SB when I had aces in the big blind (hooray), flop KTT (boo). I then ran good again heads up, with jacks in the big blind again, this time vs a smaller pair, and my limp into 6th had turned into something a bit better. Hope the overlay wasn't too painful.

    You are right, Vegas is going to be a bit less painful this year. Maybe I should play some hold 'em?

    On the sports betting; Neil and Chomps are way better than me.

    Hi @PJDIVO

    Not finished it yet. Well I DID finish it, but I somehow "lost" it, so now I'm re-writing it.

    Hope to have it up later this evening.
