Morning all.
Welcome to day 1 of a new week for the free-to-enter Forum Comp, & we'll be doing a lot of horse racing this week.
On Saturday & Sunday we will feature, for the first time, 2 Classic horse races, the 2000 Guineas on Saturday & the 1000 Guineas on Sunday. It's pleasantly quaint that we still have a famous race named after a unit of money that disappeared centuries ago but which is still commonly used in UK horse racing. Even more interesting - if you are a geek like me - is that the terms 2000 (Guineas) & 1000 (Guineas) when applied to these 2 races does NOT have a comma in them, as 4 digit numbers properly do. In these cases it is 1000 & 2000, rather the the correct 1,000 & 2,000. Bet you are glad I mentioned that.
Anyway, we are going to start the week with a rather more modest horse race from Windsor.
Windsor - real title Royal Windsor Racecourse - effectively sits on a little Island adjacent the River Thames, & is one of only 2 figure of eight racecourses in the UK, the other being Fontwell. It's very pretty, though not so much on a summer's evening when it tends to be frequented by hordes of drunks.

Note the odd race title - "Follow At The Races on Twitter" - odd because as far as i know, At The Races no longer exists.
One last thing - a big "thank you" to @Boxster who stepped in at short notice & did the Selections Summary last week.
Without him - & not forgetting all the other volunteers who have also helped the last few months - these fum comps would be less effective & so much harder to run.
Thank you.
Or maybe its slipped your mind.
