Just a quick thank you to @Boxster who taught me how to do those posh Selection Spreadsheets. Had my first attempt yesterday & it worked OK-ish, attempt #2 is now all pre-prepared & ready to be posted. Quite proud of myself. Ish.
82 minutes and Messi brings up his 600 with an utterly sublime free kick from the best part of 30 yards which curled round the wall and gave the keeper no chance, it was right in the very top corner. If 599 was his easiest, 600 was close to the best. Simply magnificent.

26th minute, and Barcelona go a goal up via ex Liverpool striker Suarez. Looked to me like an error by VvD of all people.
1-0 Barca.
75th minute, and the great Messi scores his 599th and probably easiest goal ever, bustling in a Suarez rebound which cannoned back off the bar.
Liverpool really do need an away goal now.
2-0 to the South American Spaniards.
3-0 Barca.
Result - Barcelona 3, Liverpool 0

I thought Liverpool were excellent, but with one difference - Messi. The Messi goal was a thing of wonder.
