£6,000 Hitman Bounty Hunter @ 8pm

Was quite a busy night last night & all the headline stuff covered nicely, despite (or because of?) Arsenal being on TV.

Main Event winner @chappy43 is an infrequent MTT-er here, this was just his 8th MTT in 2 months. Really fascinating how some players just play occasionally, most poker players are all or nothing.

Runner-up usually plays much smaller stuff, so this was a big result for him.

@bearlyther (3rd) was probably the best player in the Final, & now has over £80,000 of Profit on Sky Poker from 22,000 games. That'as a bit misleading though, as within those 22,000 are 12,000 SNG's from which his profit was "only" £3,000, so in fact his MTT stats understate his profitability & ROI. If we look at his "scheduled games" only, he has £78,000 of profit from 8,000 games at an ROI of 47%. Heady stuff. Stats can be so misleading, a glance at the Brexit thread proves that.

@Blaiseee (4th) has very impressive stats too, with £35,000 of profit from just 6,000 games.

@chappy43 1230000 1 £991.13 + £256.24 Head Prizes 7

@Reacher26 0 2 £591.51 + £142.15 Head Prizes 6

@bearlyther 0 3 £352.76 + £108.43 Head Prizes 5

@Blaiseee 0 4 £277.49 + £153.32 Head Prizes 8

@eebye 0 5 £236.16 + £86.61 Head Prizes 4

@alex199994 0 6 £197.78 + £77.34 Head Prizes 4

Pleased to see forum regular @jwrighty have a deep run, he's rated at 75 so must be handy enough.

In 13th was @Essexphil, who had just started a Forum Diary I'm delighted to say, & it's a cross between a poker Diary & a lifestyle one. I could read Diaries like that all day long, fascinating.

@Essexphil 0 13 £51.66 + £11.25 Head Prizes 1

@Ironpump1 managed 5 Head Prizes despite being down in 26th. Time you updated that Bankroll Challenge Diary Mr Pump.

    £2,000 Mini Hitman @ 8.30pm

    @MRMYAGI took this down. Many years ago, in the early days of Online Poker, "MisterMiagi" was the online alias of a chap named Willie Tann, who many of you will have heard of & some will know. Don't know his age, but he must be well into his eighties by now, & he's still playing the circuit. He arrived in the UK in the 60's, from Singapore, & planned to study Law. Doubt he spent any time studying, he just played poker for the rest of his life. Did OK too, including a WSOP bracelet in around 2007, which I was table-side to watch. Some amusing tales emanate from that, but maybe they are for another day. Lives in leafy Hertfordshire. Here's Willie in his characteristic posture;

    @BazookaJoe 0 5 £58.44 + £42.06 Head Prizes 9

    @Sheffdale 0 6 £47.28 + £26.21 Head Prizes 9

    Quite surprised to see @HENDRIK62 in the money, as he's a bit useless.

    @zxghostxz has accumulated over 11,000 games here now.

    And finally, well done Pete @Brrrrrrr, another one of those guys that spends a lot of time organising Forum Community stuff.

    £1,500 Quickdraw @ 10.30pm

    Not much to comment on here, usual schmusual, though I note 5th placed @nicknat118 has a Sharky Gold Star for "Count" & has over 25,000 games on his CV.

    The Bates was 6th.

    @Neilio123 155000 1 £310 + £138.79 Head Prizes 2

    @Arrogant 0 2 £193.75 + £191.40 Head Prizes 6

    @humberfish 0 4 £85.25 + £24.90 Head Prizes 1

    @nicknat118 0 5 £69.75 + £159.38 Head Prizes 8

    @MattBates 0 6 £37.50 Head Prizes 2

    All the way back in 2014, we did a series of "In The Well" on the Forum which featured, amongst others, @MattBates.

    Quite interesting actually;

    Might be something we could do again with other players if anyone is interested.

    The first time I saw Mr Tann in the flesh was in the Vic casino in London, he was simultaneously playing 2 virtual roulette machines while playing the poker tournament, to say he's got some gamble in him is an understatement.

    @cpfc_2010

    Yes, fair to say Willie "likes a gamble".

    Oh my, there are some stories awaiting the telling there.....

    Great read as usual tikay.... have no idea what that rating means though??? If it means I’m half decent there’s been a mistake somewhere

    It means exactly that, Sharkscope rates players between 50 and 100 :)

    Hi mate @jwrighty

    "Rating" refers to the Rating that Sharkscope awards every player. It's a bit hit & miss, but essentially it's arrived at from the stats & data they have on all MTT &/or SNG players. The maximum rating is 100.

    I'd say its more indicative than accurate.

    Ha, that's perfectly logical.
