This was an extraordinary result by @goldnballz
This was the affair where starting stacks were based on points earned in April, & so the stack sizes had a huge & very odd range.
There were no less than 159 runners, of whom 17 started with more than 10,000 chips, 8 began with more than 20,000, 2 started with over 50,000 each & one started with 77,810.
And how many did the eventual winner start with? 1,190.
What a result.
He either played well & also got lucky, or got lucky & played well, but he somehow turned those 1,190 chips into 813,384. I've not done the math, but that's a whole lot of double-ups.
@goldnballz aka Keith has been playing MTT's on Sky Poker since 2011, & has been profitable since he began, & his Sharky graph just goes up & up. 26,000 games here in total, & £31,000+ of profit, so he knows his way round a poker table.
What a result.
From me, & I hope all of you, genuine applause. From Ms Pelosi, not so much.
Think that Promo worked pretty well.
There were a few mutterings that the hugely varying stack sizes made it a farce & the big stacks could not lose, but poker does not work like that.
There's also the never-ending complaints "Promos on Sky Poker always favour the high roller guys". Not at all, @goldnballz has an ABI of less than £6 over a 26,000 game sample accumulated over 8 years.
All good, case dismissed.
Did you get a full table of sitouters at the start @goldnballz ?
I had 3 on my table, fwiw.
Anyway, that is an incredible achievement. Just a shame for me you hit that flush otherwise I was sailing.
Still can't really believe it! Chuffed to bits
Obviously I ran insanely well in the big pots, always helps that!
@fredsgirl is pretty happy too!
Thanks for the kind words @Tikay10
Have a great time!
