Forum Comp Day 4, THURSDAY. Racing from Sandown Park

We will continue with horse racing today & tomorrow, as it's proven far more popular than I expected. Saturday & Sunday we return to football with the L2 & L1 Playoffs.
So tonight we will be at Sandown Park, which is about 3 miles from Hampton Court Palace on the south side of the Thames. Kempton Park is 2 miles the other side of Hampton Court on the north bank of the Thames. Also within a 10 mile radius are Ascot & Windsor racecourses. Those old enough might also remember Hurst Park, right across the road from Hampton Court. That closed in the fifties, & is now a housing estate, all that remains are these two piers which were part of the entrance.

Our race is the Heron Stakes at 8.10pm, which is a Listed Race run over a mile, & is part of the Brigadier Gerard evening.
