Today sees the weird situation of 2 London clubs, based less than 10 miles apart, travelling 2,500 miles (each way) to Baku to contest the Europa League Final.

Baku? Where's that?

It's in Azerbaijan, a country to the east of Turkey & bordered by - wait for it - Iran & Russia. Why on earth 2 London clubs should be playing over there is all down to the greed of the Football authorities. One day soon - mark my words - the "Green Lobby" is gonna get on football's case, & the sooner the better. Meanwhile X0,000 football supporters are spending fortunes to get there & back, & leaving huge carbon footprints in their wake.
