Sunday Major Freeroll

Tonight's 6.30 Sunday Major Freeroll appears to have gone missing! It is not in the freeroll lobby.

    I couldnt find it either @bearace , I assumed it had been scrapped because of the 8:30 one.

    Hi Guys,

    Sorry about this.

    As it happens, I was with Sky James in Vegas late last night (Vegas time, which is 8 hours behind the UK) & he has to set up all the Freerolls for the coming week on a Sunday night or Monday morning.

    Unforch, due to all manner of connectivity & laptop issues, I was using his Laptop to do the Live Update so it was very late by the time I gave him his laptop back. That might explain why this Freeroll is missing.

    It's clearly too late for today - sorry - but I'll nudge James & see if it can be sorted for Tuesday onwards. I'll message him now (we are staying on opposite sides of town), & then I'll see him tonight at the Top Golf jolly & remind him.

    Cheers Tikay and hope the golf night goes well - only seems like yesterday I was there for last years...maybe James can make it 6 seats for tomorrows major freeroll or if that's too tricky as needs to be uniform for week then have 4 seats for remainder of just this weeks' freeroll?

    Maybe, yes, but it feels a little optimistic to me......

    I missed Top Golf last year, as I'm teetotal & socially awkward in the company of those drinking, but I'm going along tonight & looking forward to it. *

    * Actually, that's a lie. I'm dreading it. Not because the chaps are not great company - they are - but I'm just so ill-adjusted in "drinking company", & it's extremely uncomfortable for me. Or, as some have perceptively suggested, I'm just a miserable git.

    In translation...

    Sky James has blown the 5K on Jager Bombs at the welcome party in Vegas. He is relying on Tikay to win the money back on the PLO8 cash tables over there while the others are playing golf.

    ...so, in short.....no more 6.30 freerolls this week.

    James has now replied to my Slack Message - this Freeroll will be reinstated as & from Tuesday.

    It was "missed" today for exactly the reasons I suggested earlier.

    We did have a really bad day with Company Laptops in Vegas yesterday. 3 laptops, only 2 of which had charger cables, none of which were interchangeable & 1 of which could not get any wi or fi. Nightmare.

    Thanks Tikay :). I thought you guys had the computing arsenal of a Sky news outside broadcast team ie more powerful than some states, it's heartwarming somehow to know you guys are grappling with dodgy chargers and funky cables like the rest of us.

    As a minor punter here I never play the £1K freerolls simply because they are a bit too long for me, however I really love the format of the Sunday one because it's death or glory in around an hour. I would be gutted if they stopped, I am grateful you guys run them. We can't all be MattBates or SenorBegs, the freeroll is a great opportunity to get into the big one. I do enter the qualie's too but it's not a cheap tournament to qualify in for the social player.

    Listen don't smack James around the chops, anyone can make a mistake. Hopefully some good will come of it in that us players do appreciate this tournament.
