Who won what on Saturday

Numbers continue to defy the fine weather, with all 4 doing OK last night.

Quickdraw seems to be the MTT that refuses to die. When it's Guarantee was cut to £1,000 about 6 weeks ago I thought that would be the death knell, but it now seems to make £1,500 more nights than not.

    £8,000 Sharpshooter (£8,550)

    Veteran Sky Poker MTT-er jawzindawz notches yet another win, what a loyal & long-standing regular he is.

    Runner-up robjohn is more of a Turbo DYM specialist & that's where most of his volume comes from.

    In 3rd was caitjay, earning his 3rd biggest cash ever in over 10 years here.

    Another good result for skyflyer, who we talked about yesterday when he won Sheriff off the back of a really good run of recent results in his short time here.

    £2,000 Sharpshooter Mini (£2,410)

    Dannykath was the last man standing for what was, I suspect, his best ever result here. Single-tabled it too, which takes some doing.

    Runner-up Jimbo98 had a good session, as he also ran 3rd in a £1,000 BH earlier in the evening.

    jake_gor24 has only played 8 MTT's in 2 months, but has nor finalled the Mini twice in that period.

    @Dannykath 4820000 1 £301.25 + £81.72 Head Prizes 13

    @Jimbo98 0 2 £168.70 + £29.26 Head Prizes 7

    @Yoozer 0 5 £66.28 + £14.88 Head Prizes 6

    @Yovka 0 6 £53.62 + £18.55 Head Prizes 3

    Wonder how XXX9XXX came up with that alias?

    @XXX9XXX 0 12 £12.65 + £10.44 Head Prizes 5

    Finally, after helping out with the Forum Comp yesterday, @PKRPar picked up a few bob. That's karma working it's magic.

    £2,000 Sheriff (£2,650)

    cpfc_2010 added to his already bulging coffers with another win. Bloke must be minted.

    EVIL_BERT added a 2nd here to his 3rd in the Main on Friday.

    ItsOver4U has had a thin time of it lately, so good to see him back in the money.

    Dog Bloke was 4th. Woof.

    @cpfc_2010 265000 1 £490.25 + £425.86 Head Prizes 10

    @EVIL_BERT 0 2 £291.50 + £89.06 Head Prizes 3

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,650)

    The winner seems to split his play 50-50 between MTT's & DYM's.

    This is usually a reg-fest, but the average Sharky rating of the FT last night was, with the notable exception of Aylee, around 60. Never a bad thing to spread the £ove.

    @kenmillon 165000 1 £330 + £125.96 Head Prizes 2

    @Neilio123 0 2 £206.25 + £134.18 Head Prizes 4

    @bigboyrule 0 3 £123.75 + £180.48 Head Prizes 7

    @pokersh778 0 4 £90.75 + £98.44 Head Prizes 4

    @Jessieak 0 5 £74.25 + £42.19 Head Prizes 2

    @Aylee 0 6 £56.25 Head Prizes 3

    Well done @jawzindawz

    If Sky Poker as we know it is wound up/merged with Stars within a year or so and we look back from that point into the annals and consider the best players, jawz would have to be a contender for Sky Poker GOAT in my opinion (for being a serial winner, year on year in low to mid stakes MTT). Doesn't play as much as he used to (too many grandkids he says :) ) but can clearly still mix it with the best when he wants to. Always a perfect gent at the tables, he was also very positive and encouraging with me personally when I first started out on the site and also suggested a few books which I went on to purchase (notably Winning Poker Tournaments One Hand at a Time Volume III (2016) written by Jon 'Pearljammer' Turner, Jon 'Apestyles' Van Fleet and Eric 'Rizen' Lynch. Whilst some of the recommended lines (OOP especially) and bet sizing may be seen as sub-optimal in 2019, the overarching concepts of MTT play and what it takes to successfully navigate the different phases of a tournament and ultimately emerge victorious were a huge help to me at the time and continue to hold true today. Whilst I do think that watching current/up to date content is superior, I would still recommend this book to anyone who is either struggling to be consistently profitable in low stakes MTT's or anyone switching to MTT's from cash or SNG as a great starting point and particularly if you take in information more thoroughly reading/re-reading a book rather than watching content).
    I would say that, other than @Duesenberg , jawzindawz has been my biggest positive influencer on the site. So, thanks again and congratulations on taking down another Main, thoroughly deserved. gg

    Cheers bud. I didn't enjoy having you to my left but we can't have had many hands at the same time as I don't recall getting too frustrated at any point :)
