Is this shove OK?

Exit hand from tonight's mini.

The utg+1 opener had previously been raising light and often, plus he had also 3b with 34o so it was fairly safe to assume he was unlikely to be that strong here. After his raise received 2 calls in front of me I thought this looked like a great spot to shove as there was plenty of money in the middle and because they didn't 3b I also thought it was likely I had the best hand.

Turns out one of the callers had AKo but in the long run is shoving the AJs ok?

Looks good to me. Even if the original raiser wasn't obviously loose I'd be shoving here

My thoughts were the opposite. A lot of dead money in the middle, I was confident I was ahead of the opener and would expect a 3b from AK more often than not. I guess I can run into AQ sometimes but it gives them a tough spot, also middle pairs where I don't mind a call. Then there's times when you get the shove through and add 8bb to your stack.

I dunno though I could be way off with my thinking here?

Given the solid read on the villain min raising the LJ limper + opponents flatting behind, I'd be very happy to get in AJs here with a little over 20bb given there is 8bb already out there and shoving is going to get through often or we are going to be able to run it HU vs villains A9o and stuff for a 50bb pot. Very unfortunate to run into a poorly played AKo

Seems fine to me. As has been said a lot of dead money out there and I would expect to take this down pre a lot.

Anything better would be 3betting more often than not though. I obviously folding if there was a 3b in front of me.
