It's a bad beat story, so move on if you don't want to hear.
This could have been the worst call I have even seen.
I sit in the BB with 22. (blinds 50/100)
2 limpers, so I check it down.
Flop 23X
I check, and some guy bets about 300 chips (I have 6000 he has 4000)
I take the plunge and shove, thinking he'll be drawing with AK or similar.
Now I know shoving isn't great play, but the open demands a few double-ups.
Anyway he calls. With.......get this......A7
he's hit absolutely nothing.
His whole tournament and he needs 2 miracle cards.
Is this the worst call you have ever seen?
Of course the turn comes 5 and the river 4.
He didn't even have the class to be embarassed.
About 20 mins later he wins a 4 way all-in with 77 (against 10 10, 3 3 and Ak - and the A hit before he got the 7 on the river).
I won't name him, but if he doesn't win tonight, he never will.
