Who won what on Saturday

Another decent night for numbers, with the combined prize pools of the 4 Headline MTT's coming in at nearly £17,000, set against the Guarantees of £13,000.

The glorious exception - again - was the SPT Brighton Semi, which came in at what I think was an all-time low of just 10 runners.

    £8,000 Sharpshooter (£9,300)

    The win went to Poker_Fail, who plays more SNG's than MTT's, but seems to do OK at both. He enjoys a little Heads Up PLO8 too.

    Runner-up was Vinny, just ahead of DustoLucko, who came close to a remarkable double, having won the Main the previous night then come 3rd here. To Final the Main on consecutive nights is a fairly rare bird, & 1st & 3rd is exceptional.

    @Poker_Fail 3100000 1 £1232.25 + £443.59 Head Prizes 13

    @CxE1 0 2 £734.70 + £177.80 Head Prizes 8

    @DustoLucko 0 3 £441.75 + £191.44 Head Prizes 9

    @Diogenes 0 4 £348.75 + £59.95 Head Prizes 4

    @ziggy01 0 5 £295.27 + £42.19 Head Prizes 3

    @RCord 0 6 £246.45 + £106.73 Head Prizes 3

    £2,000 Sharpshooter Mini (£2,660)

    Top spot went to Sara2001, playing just his or her 2nd MTT in 10 days.

    In 3rd was luckme002, who is super high volume, & not many nights go by without him cashing at least once.

    In 4th was TTT69, playing his first MTT in over a fortnight.

    @Sara2001 5320000 1 £332.50 + £94.76 Head Prizes 11

    @lewjax79 0 2 £186.20 + £39.59 Head Prizes 13

    @luckme002 0 3 £109.86 + £59.17 Head Prizes 16

    @TTT69 0 4 £87.11 + £9.67 Head Prizes 4

    @Jamie007t 0 5 £73.15 + £16.82 Head Prizes 5

    @bazzamundo 0 6 £59.19 + £1.88 Head Prizes 1

    Just missing the Final Table was Stokey, & as it was Saturday, I'm reasonably sure he had a drink or two along the way. Stokey coined a new phrase the other day, referring to someone as coming from "the posh part of Stoke". Extensive googling has failed to reveal what exactly that might mean. Some words don't fit in the same sentence, & that certainly applies to "posh" & "Stoke".

    @stokefc 0 7 £45.88 + £13.72 Head Prizes 3

    £2,000 Sheriff (£2,650)

    Yet another win for Melty, who has at least a dozen of those lovely spinning stars on Sharky, including one of those oh-so-prized Gold ones. He's currently the 4th most profitable MTT-er on Sky Poker in 2019, headed only by SenorBegs, loololollo & of course The Bates.

    @chicknMelt 265000 1 £490.25 + £261.79 Head Prizes 5

    @heddoh18 0 2 £291.50 + £174.89 Head Prizes 5

    @alter02 0 3 £198.75 + £89.07 Head Prizes 4

    @begbiekoch 0 4 £145.75 + £165.25 Head Prizes 7

    @Gambelo 0 5 £106 + £71.49 Head Prizes 3

    @chopchops 0 6 £92.75 + £37.50 Head Prizes 2

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£2,200)

    44 entries for this, as high a number as I can recall for Quickdraw in a goodly while.

    The Sharky entry for the Winner, ParkAttack, suggests this was his first ever Sky Poker MTT, which would be quite the debut, though of course it's possible he has reset his stats.

    Decent session for RCord, who was 2nd in this & 6th in the Main.

    Mean Machine was 3rd, who actually won Quickdraw on the 1st of the month.

    @ParkAttack 220000 1 £407 + £213.46 Head Prizes 3

    @RCord 0 2 £242 + £150.58 Head Prizes 5

    @GSmith13 0 3 £165 + £60.94 Head Prizes 2

    @alter02 0 4 £121 + £128.91 Head Prizes 6

    @POKEOFFU 0 5 £88 + £60.94 Head Prizes 3

    @jakadodarr 0 6 £77 + £67.97 Head Prizes 3

    SPT Brighton Semi (10 runners)

    Think that's a 3rd Brighton seat for THENUTS & a 2nd for Tina, who had a series of near misses before bagging her first the night before.

    @THENUTS63 12815 1 SPT Brighton Seat

    @karlluke 9980 2 SPT Brighton Seat

    @hazelwoo05 7205 3 SPT Brighton Seat

    HANSON so nearly won his 3rd seat too.

    Curious so thought I'd ask. What is the point of having more than one seat?

    Can you buy in a second time if you get knocked out and/or can you convert them into seats for later SPTs like Nottingham or can you let someone else you them?

    can use it if bust of day 1a, or retry on day 1b even if your still in on day 1a; or as you have suggested and use for another spt in the year.

    BUT only in the year you win them...When the cash for seats was changed to more seats to be used at future events, originally you could roll them over until you wanted to use them...now they must be used in year so Notts is the only option left I believe...

    @madprof

    Possibly, but don't forget an additional SPT has now been scheduled for 2019 in Manchester.

    It's £550 rather than £220, & I've not discussed it with James yet, but maybe he'll allow some "mix & match" (unused seats &/or cash) for Manchester.

    @Brrrrrrr

    Hi Pete,

    It's pretty much as explained by @PKRPar.

    For each opening day, players may re-enter once, so in theory, you can enter 4 times. Even if they survive Day 1A, then can still play Day 1B with a view to taking their biggest stack through & surrendering the smaller stack.

    There are TWO SPT's left in 2019, Nottingham (£220) & a Grand Final in Manchester (£550).

    Finally, no, you cannot allow another player to use a seat you have won.

    Hey @Tikay10

    Really ? sorry didn't know....been out of it recently for a variety of reasons....dates please?? ( So I can try to diary it so H-the boss- doesn't book a holiday....like she has for Notts tourney AND I can't make Brighton now so Manchester might be my last opportunity to play an SPT this year.....

    Definitely a juxtaposition using Posh and Stoke together...That would be like saying @SidV79 and sophisticated together.....

    Possibly too close to the Goliath tournament in Coventry. Maybe people having to choose between SPT and Goliath? Just a thought.

    Fair shout that.

    And/or the scheduling of putting a Brighton leg in the summer school holidays when prices are at their highest for hotels etc

    Myself and numerous others I know might have considered doing Brighton but it was ruled out immediately once I saw the cost of accommodation that weekend.

    Luckily we got a weekend in Nottingham on the cheap so I can show my face there and enjoy an alcoholic beverage or 2.
