is there anything i can do about this? I mean I 100% opted in on the promo page. I'm not sure if my login had expired and it didnt go through or what, but after i'd clicked the button (which was clickable at the time i went to it) it said 'opted in' or similar. Seems pretty absurd if i'm denied the promotion down to a glitch. I'm assuming i was in the top 3 given i played basically every mid-stakes table for about 14 hours on Weds (the higher ones barely ran) and the 3 winners i'm pretty sure played less.

Even if you opted in and then went back to it, it will show that you can still click the opt in button. If you click opt in again it just says “ you have already opted in”. Assuming it did count you as opted in.

It's unlikely anything can be done retrospectively & I'm not aware of any malfunctions of the Opt In procedure reported by anyone else.
I'll certainly pass it up to the office for comment though, & let you know what they say. Please be patient, as most of the Team will be travelling down to Brighton today, so it may take a while before I hear back from them.
Vinny...I wouldn't be surprised if you were opted in. I doubt 6k would be enough. I'd say 8-10k to get into top 3. First probably has 13k ish.
If that’s the case then cool, but i’d be surprised if that’s the case. Played 12-2am then 12-11:45 every spin-up table 50/1-1.50-3 that ran during that period. I think a table or 2 of 2/4 ran for a while, but rarely anything higher and the top 3 guys weren’t at my tables for a significant period of the day, so I’m not sure how they’d all beat me. Maybe I’m wrong, but it’d be nice to have confirmation

Points from previous day aswell if they haven’t stood from table before midnight also maybe.
Well i just spoke to the guy who got 3rd that day and he got 3595 points... and i got 5795, so yeah i've definitely been denied the bonus. Surely if a login has expired and you click the opt-in button it should tell you your login has expired and that it hasn't actually worked rather than the button changing to say you're opted in, just like it would if it had worked. That's the only explaination I have for it, because i clearly remember going onto that page and opting in well before the promo weeks started. I don't think it's reasonable to expect someone to go back and check after the page has told me i've opted in. Clearly this is an issue with the progamming of the page
Is this being ignored now? Still convinced that I shouldn’t be punished for this faulty opt-in button, which tells you you’ve successfully opted in when you’ve had a log-in expiry. Not impressed at the lack of communication on this. I’ve been raking not far short of £10k a month on Sky, but haven’t and won’t be putting volume in until this is resolved

No, not ignored, it's just a bit of an awkward weekend with everyone down at Brighton for the SPT.
In fact I did speak to the Suits about it on Friday, but what with this & that, I clean forgot to get back to you, sorry.
I'm sorry to say there's nothing that can be done in this instance. There is not a problem with the Opt-In Button, it has worked for everyone else & there have been no other complaints on this occasion, or not that I am aware of.
That's all I can do I'm afraid, but I'm not the official Customer Care, so you are more than welcome to take it up with them. However, all they will do is pass it on to the very same people I spoke to on Friday. Please feel free to contact them though, especially if you feel particularly aggrieved.
Apologies, I had forgotten about the Brighton event and honestly this has just angered me a lot. The issue I have is with what happens when you press the button after a session expiry. I’m sure this could be re-created to show that it is an issue as I’ve outlined. I highly doubt anyone else would notice the same issue I had, given there are only 3 winners and clearly people didn’t push that hard to win it (I know the guy in 3rd wasn’t even aware of it). It’s pretty clear that I made a concerted effort to win the promo after gaining 6k points (which works out to almost £1k rake for the day?!) and there’s no benefit of doubt given to a player who pays thousands of pounds in rake on a monthly basis
Yes, I completely get why you would be miffed, most of us would feel the same.
It's awkward though, the Suits told me the software clearly showed you were not Opted-In. Were they to say "OK mate, you are a good guy, here's the money" can you imagine what a precedent that would set? The Forum Post Count would be the only winner as everyone would climb aboard.
I'm absolutely not ducking the issue, but I don't make decisions here & am just passing messages back & forth. The only thing I can suggest is to complain to Customer Care, though that complaint would only end up with the same folks I already spoke to. Might be worth a spin though, you have nothing to lose.
I'm sorry I forgot to reply yesterday, though I was a little busy down here.
my only request is that someone official logs on with an account that isn't opted in, sits on that page until your log-in expires and then sees what happens when the opt-in button is clicked. If it says 'your log-in has expired, please log-in a try again' or similar, then fine my argument is futile. If, as i suspect, it tells you that you've successfully opted in, just as it would were your log-in still active, then I feel like the scenario I described is not just plausible, it would clearly be what has occured (and imo the fault of Sky, not the customer, for providing a false confirmation)

I’m sure Tikay will confirm you had opted in.

I'm a bit busy right now, but when time permits I will reply further.
I'll also pass your comments on to the Suits.

All rather unfortunate, on that we can all agree.
Another very long day yesterday, & it was 3am before I finished, so please don't think I was ignoring this.
I passed this up to the appropriate Suits, & it's with them now. If I hear further, I'll let you know, or maybe they will reply themselves.
