If you know how they play in the SB in an unopened pot you should be using this info in making your decision.
Their raising range obviously contains some junk and is probably balanced by the stronger hands. Do they have a limp/fold or limp/call range at all?
Let’s say you knew they limp called all middling connector/suited type hands, raised the top hands and raised the junk. That makes this a lot easier. If only the strongest and weakest hands of theirs have made it to the flop it makes no sense to raise. They’d likely fold all worse hands and continue with those that are ahead or have lots of equity like Axhh, perhaps even KQ/QJ. Probably don’t want to inflate the pot in that situation and risk getting jammed on. But it all depends on the range you’re assigning.
