Most Promotions are designed for those who have a lot of budget.

Too many promotions are won by players who have a large budgets and not by good players. Rewards should be set and arranged for talented players and not those who gain points by playing maximum amount of games and losing.

    What promotion would you run?
How would the promotion decide who's talented and doesn't just have a big budget?

A lot of the people with large budgets have that budget because they are good.

I'm not a fan of rake races either but at the same time it's only fair that the highest rake contributors are rewarded occasionally.

Yeah huge fish these ones leading the leaderboard just have tens of thousands of pounds to deposit whilst losing and lock up the £500 prize.... hang on one sec... you could play the fish and get rich?

There is no site in the whole world where will you have more of a chance of bagging a decent prize in a promotion than Sky Poker. Whether you are micro or high stakes.

Those who work hardest will win rake races, and deservedly so.

What you say about the large budget players being not good players is clearly contradictory. Do you think they are just **** in the wind?

Not to mention the free tournaments given away on the forum, for example the daily betting game that @Tikay10 runs daily! There s a £33 bounty hunter token up for grabs there and many of the "rich" players don't even play this.

Plus the (at least) 5k in freerolls every single week for raking a measly 50 points. Ever tried a freeroll on Stars? 50k runners with 1st getting a tenner

Could they not do a monthly/quarterly freeroll where you could use some of these sky poker points say 5000 poker points buy in? The only way to use them is to buy into the £20 freeroll with first place winning a fiver. Although the 5k freerolls are good I have 37 thousand poker points that are useless. Players that play everyday good or bad (like me) wont play these 20 point freerolls.

Firstly, as has been suggested what promotions would you run? It is easy to say current promotions are bad but its a lot more useful to come up with some suggestions of the sort of thing you would like.

You said about rewards for talented players. For DYMs as part of the current kickoff promo there is the streak week which would seem to satisfy your rewards for good players criteria. They have the jackpot bonus for main/mini which again rewards talented players.

Finding promotions that suit all players is extremely difficult.
You have cash v MTT v SNG.
Low stakes v mid stakes v high stakes
Volume v appealing to 1 tablers

In some promotions players know they can lose in the games but will make money overall though promo money, weekly and monthly RB. I guess it is these sorts of promotions that you dont like but surely if players are losing money in games you can win that money? The players that do well in these promos are putting in a lot of effort to win the promotion money.

I actually feel like sky do a good job with balancing out promotions. They have quite a few promos with tickets where someone can win decent just by getting one ticket. They are going to want to have rake races to try and boost action on the site.
