Before we get into the detail, just a quick notelet to acknowledge & give thanks for the comments on the Who Won What thread yesterday by @Angmar2626 @MISTY4ME @engy & @SR23.
It's a bit uphill doing these some days & I definitely don't expect folks to comment, after all, they just want a quick look at who won what etc. It's kind of nice when they do though.
And yes, my occasional cringeworthy puns are embarrassingly bad, but at least I know folks are reading it when they comment.
Anyway, thanks lads, appreciated. And I hope all is well in @SR23 land, your sparkling lexicography (is that a word? - if only I had a dictionary) skills light this place up & you are much missed, even though you are more than a little left-field. We like left-field.

Steady numbers last night with the Big 4 Prize Pools beating Guarantees by an aggregate 20%. Sadly, the SPT Notts Semi got just 14 runners, slightly beneath forecast.
I've been in & around poker, both sides of the table, for over 2 decades now, & I've still not really figured to what degree Guarantees do or don't work.
If those Guarantees went up, would more people play? I'm not sure they would. And vice-versa, of course.
I often wonder what would happen if Guarantees were doubled or halved.
Having said that, I think @Sky__James has got the balance about right, as the numbers are rarely dreadful or wonderful. Which is how it should be. I think. Probably.
