Looks like PHD are just a media agency. No what they're doing for SB&G though obvs. Could beTV advertising or Football League sponsorship stuff which is unlikely to have any noticeable effect on us Poker folk - We'll never know.
The only thing I can read into it that might mean anything is that PHD don't appear to have any offices in Leeds (where SB&G are located and their previous agency have offices), based on a quick search of their website.

These types of businesses always amuse me for talking absolute nonsense. Their "About us" page describes them as follows:
"Brilliant media thinking is in our DNA. A culture of thought-leadership, creativity and innovation has seen us grow from a challenger agency in the UK, to a global leader with over 6,000 employees in 100 offices worldwide.
We combine the latest industry insight with the best creative minds to produce planning innovation and create award-winning work for some of the world’s largest advertisers.
Finding a better way is our ethos and sums up how we approach everything – from a new client brief to the way we work."
I'm sure they could tell us what they do using a quarter of those words. Who even talks like that in the real world, anyway? WTF is "A culture of thought-leadership"?
The show is called W1A - a brilliantly funny watch if it's new to you.
W1A was actually a follow on from Twenty Twelve which (fictionally) followed the exploits of the Olympic Deliverance Committee for London 2012. It's not necessary to have seen Twenty Twelve first but it was chronologically the first program to feature these characters and, once again, is brilliant stuff imho.
A good game to play with these companies taglines is to mix the buzzwords in their about us and see if it makes more sense. I like "a leadership of thought culture" personally

What exactly IS a "thought culture", as opposed to, say, a "non-thought culture"?

PHD are a Media Agency owned by Omnicon.
And here's a fabulous piece of trivia for you. Omnicon - who you have probably never heard of - employ 79,500 staff.
79,500. That's some stat. The Tea Trolley must be monsta.

A culture of thought-leadership
Ha, incred.
I read somewhere that if the culture of a business could not be summed up in 10 words & 1 sentence, something had already gone wrong.
i need to up my game. I've merely been avoiding any employers with name badges and employees of the month.
This takes rampant bollo to a whole new level....

This might raise an eyebrow or two, but it's 100% true.
Within SB&G, from Board Level down to rank & file, the term "We Are Customer Obsessed" is very much used & preached.
