Clear check back?

I'm checking behind virtually everytime, but if the oppo is the kind that will call off with a worse hand, like the guy here, then is the shove a reasonable option? I certainly wish I'd just checked...

I feel like it's a fairly big mistake. I know oppo well from the fiver games, I know he'll call me off with a worse Jx, even an 8x, 77s through 10s etc. but looking back on the hand it feels like too much of a risk as he can also show up with hands like the QQ here.

This read says it all, you make far more when he has a worse hand, sometimes your going to lose, this is one of them times. And we're ok with it.

It's one of those where if he snaps you off with JT or the like then you don't even question it. Then other times the outcome is like this one and you question whether or not you made a mistake.
