Newcastle go in 1 goal & 1 man down, a fully deserved red card going the way of Hayden after one of the most ugly challenges you could ever see. Amazingly, he left the field protesting his innocence. As a general rule, footballers are not terribly bright, it seems.
As things stand, the top 2 spots in our League Table look to be going the way of the overnight leaders, belsibub & lufc333. The only thing that can change that is a bunch of 2nd half goals, & with Newcastle a man down, & Leicester very much in control, it's still possible.
Sadly with everyone above me going for Leicester, I had no choice but to go for the very ordinary Newcastle. Even at this early stage of the season they look in big trouble. In years gone by, that would have been described as a crunching tackle, taking the ball then leaving it's mark on the player and I doubt even a yellow card would have been shown.
Newcastle were unlucky here. an intended pass deflecting off the defender leaving the 'keeper no chance.
This could very easily get messy, and that's the remaining hope for everyone on 5 & 6 goals. As things stand, @belsibub, @lufc333 & @dragon1964 have all both selections correct. Another goal would change all that of course.
Newcastle do not appear to have any leaders on the pitch at all, professional pride should be kicking in here. The absolute minimum requirement for any fan is heart and work rate. The players in black and white stripes appear to lack both.
Leicester score a 5th, & all of a sudden the top of our league has got very interesting indeed. 5 goals are a 12/1 shot, & I fancy someone down in deepest Cornwall might be very close to nicking this.

Vardy doubles Leicester's lead from an acute angle, a shot the keeper should easily have saved, but the ball somehow squirms past him.Leicester 2 Newcastle 0
