Who won what on Sunday. Good news & shock news

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,074

On Sunday the Big 4 becomes the Big 5, as I include the £6,000 BH at 7.30pm, & with the Sunday Major at £12,000, it makes a tough night to meet Guarantees at the best of times.

As you know, things have been a little quiet for 10 days or so, before it perked up on Saturday, so I was keen to see how traffic was last night.

The 5 Guarantees totalled £23,000, & the aggregate prize pools checked in at....£28,560. That's the way to start a Monday.

    £6,000 BH @ 7.30pm (£7,950)

Amazing scenes as @DunkinFish won the £6,000 BH for the 2nd week on the bounce. I've no idea if that's been done before, either way that's a tremendous coup. Last Sunday he collected £1,362, last night ~£1510. Very nice, very nice indeed.

    £12,000 Sunday Major (£14,100)

More amazing scenes as HAYSIE takes down the Sunday Major again - he also won it early August, & he also won Sharpshooter 8 days ago. Even better, he got in for a tenner, via the satellite route.

You may be familiar with the old boy, he occasionally posts on the Forum, but never more than 50 times per day, most often about Brexit, but really, he has a broad brush & rattles on about all sorts.

I do tend to get into his ribs from time to time, but only because I have a sneaking admiration for him. He came to Vegas with us many years ago & the WSOP Officials never knew what hit them after they tried to tell him what he could & could not do. Big mistake. They had not realised he was Welsh & therefore super argumentative.

And, all joking aside, for a fella who plays a fair bit of volume on Sky Poker, & has done since the very start, back in 2007, I've never once heard him moan about a bad beat, or complain that there's anything amiss with the software.

When he first began on Sky Poker, you could play on the Site via your TV. Yes, I kid you not, via the Red Button, on the telly. Trouble was, there was no chat facility, just a series of pre-programmed comments a player could use. "Applause", "Idiot" (yes, it included insults) & so on. My oh my, Sky Poker's software has moved on since then. A bit...

    Seriously, very well done mate.

Other final tablers included lolufold, cpfc & Melty.

Just missing the money on what turned out to be one of those nights was another golden oldie - @Essexphil.

    £2,000 Mini Major (£2,310)

It was a personal best for Viking25, his best ever result here.

StayOrGo ran 4th, and, just missing the money by 3 spots was @Essexphil again. Some nights you just know nothing is going to go right.

    £2,000 Sheriff (£2,600)

alancarr12 is in a rich vein of form, winning the Unibet Open in Malta a fortnight ago for €53,000, adding another £1,000 for winning the Sky Poker Premiership on Friday, then topping up his bulging coffers with another ~£800 here.

You'll not see too many tougher FT's than this one either, with Lord Crush, GFKIJKLL, Tedson (who I believe had a decent result elsewhere recently), ozzieowen & MikeyW94 all vying for the glory.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,600)

Another very tough FT as often happens in the 2 late night £50ers, with f3nix35 booking the win, ahead of AKAscotty, Lord Crush, StayOrGo & Super_Oli. We will see at least 2 of those (AKAscotty & StayOrGo) at SPT Notts later this week.

I had one of those days that we all experience.

Didn't run badly generally-just lost the key flips in everything. On all sites. Bubbled more often than Michael Jackson ;)

Got to lose them sometimes-that's what variance is. Think I may take a break til Nottingham.
