Who won what on UKOPS Day TWO (Saturday October 26th)

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 172,070

A very good Sunday morning to you.

UKOPS Day 2 went pretty well. Financially & numerically it never quite reached the heady heights of Day One, but Prize Pools of £40,780 still beat Guarantees by a hefty 24%. Sky Poker would deffo settle for that every night, given half a chance.

Is it my imagination or is there an enthusiastic buzz around the Forum right now? There seems to be a lifting of the mood, a sort of feel-good vibe around the place.

Individually, there were a number of outstanding performances last night, with several players making more than one Final Table.

Let's go take a look.

    UKOPS 07 £4,000 Rebuy (£5,700)

    I doubt anyone will begrudge Danny aka @Itsover4u this victory, especially his Study Group, all of whom have been doing so well. Well done mate, it shows that hard work pays off in poker as it does in life.

    @baDbEAteN ran 2nd, congrats Mr Beat, but do me a favour, don't do that alternate upper & lower case stuff. Yes, I do know what it means, but it is really hard to type with any fluency.

    On the very night that British Summertime ended & we all got an extra hour in bed, @clock123 showed great timing with some excellent performances.

    Morris707, a lovely young man who I've had the pleasure of meeting at a few SPT's, was 4th. I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to recall he is Groggy's poker coach...

    f3nix35 was 6th.

    As it's a non-BH, we'll namecheck all the cashees, which means we get to see a contender for Alias Of The Day", 8th placed Doingitin.

    Note a deep run by Duesenberg who so nearly played his way to the Final.

    UKOPS 08 £15,000 Bounty Hunter (£16,600)

    This was the Day 2 Main Event, & with it the biggest purse of the night.

    pazzas39 booked the win, the very first time his alias has ever graced this forum. He seems to mainly play Heads Up stuff, often pretty big stake ones too, but he's clearly adept at MTT's too.

    Runner-up gez_bear cashes with decent frequency here, but I fancy this was his biggest cash since 2015.

    Sticky Solly, having min-cashed in the evening's opener, was 3rd.

    scottyy77 seems to be running into form just when it matters, 5th here, following 1st & 3rd in Quickdraw earlier this week.

    @pazzas39 1660000 1 £2282.50 + £1249.94 Head Prizes 13

    UKOPS 09 £5,000 Rebuy B/Hunter (£7,990)

    As with Day One, the Mini, was again the best-performing UKOPS of the night, with a monsta field & purse made up of 387 entries, 240 Rebuys & 172 Add-Ons.

    The honours went to jordz16, one of the best & longest-serving players on the site, & a very popular one too. He bubbled the opener, so that was all the sweeter.

    lolufold aka Redmond was 3rd here after being 9th in the evening's opener, so that's a nice haul of Total Player leaderboard points.

    And how about clock123? 4th in this & 3rd in the opener 90 minutes earlier, so 2 Final Tables already, & Total Player points galore. Must be a contender for Player Of The Day.

    In 6th was another applicant for Alias Of The Day, skypokerfu, though I'm not sure that will be well-received in Sky Poker Towers up in Leeds.

    @jordz16 1942000 1 £1008.74 + £379.34 Head Prizes 13

    UKOPS 10 £3,000 Bounty Hunter (£3,780)

    Not sure if the winner is a dog, or from Denmark, but either way this was a decent result, & he cashed in the Autumn UKOPS last year too. Good win this, repelling Viking25 in 2nd.

    Mean-machine was 5th.

    UKOPS 11 £4,000 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£4,200)

    Can't imagine anyone will begrudge Dog Bloke winning this, and I hear he has been training hard for this, with twice daily gym workouts. His body is a temple.

    scottyy77 (4th) & jordz16 (6th) were both making their 2nd Final table of the night, so by my reckoning, that's three players who each made 2 Final Tables tonight, as clock123 did so too. Good work lads.

    UKOPS 12 £2,000 Hyper Bounty Hunter (£2,580)

    On Day One, after running 4th in UKOPS 04 for around £290, Allan23 came on the thread & wrote this;

    "Must admit being a low stakes man it’s a relief to get a sizeable cash early doors - not gonna be stuck hundreds for ukops now!"

    So he must be feeling pretty pleased with life this morning, having won this one & added another ~£530 to his 'roll. We Brits love it when a small-stakes player does well, & I add my special congrats to him, he's a really good guy. Bet he feels just great this morning, & why not? Wait until he sees the Total Player Leaderboard, too...

    Tough to call who would be the most popular winner of the night, with ItsOver4U, jordz & Dog Bloke all booking wins, but Allan23 is right in the mix.

    Had to beat a quality FT too, with Arrogant, WOW1tsaNDY, GREGSTER, jakescol & MikeyW94 all snapping at his heels.

    @Allan23 387000 1 £360.56 + £172.85 Head Prizes 8

    @Arrogant 0 2 £219.94 + £125 Head Prizes 11

    It was 5 months ago, in May, when Doughboy last featured in these reports, so he must have kneaded this.

    SPT Grand Final Quarter (21 entries)

    Donald is excelling in these Satellites, he won a BH seat on Thursday, and followed up last night with a SPT Semi-Final seat. Good luck tonight Donald.

    I would have bet good money that glencoelad would win his seat, as dameflop, aka Mrs GlencoeLad, booked her seat the previous night. Very competitive couple. Hope both of them run well in tonight's Semi.

    CORRECTION

    Earlier, I wrote;

    In fact @Viking25 made 2 FT's last night too, my apologies for omitting him.

    So FOUR players made 2 Final Tables last night. Awesome.

    Excellent reportage. As always

    Has anyone made the FT of the UKOPS main events on the first two days?

    Now you mention it, yes, one lucky so & so was 6th in the Day 1 Main & 3rd in the Day 2 Main.

    Well worth a chirp, that, & I'm a bit annoyed I missed it.

    Well done Paul.

    Do it again tonight for the hat-trick & you deffo get one of these;

    I had my milk monitor privilege removed when I was age ten, for getting caught playing “penny up against thewall”. (My introduction to gambling). It we be ironic if I get it back through playing poker, fingers crossed.
